Hello,
I'm not very tech savvy so please bear with me here. I seem to get BSOD at random whilst web browsing or watching movies. I was getting a lot of BSOD so did a clean install of Windows 7, updated all drivers & defragged the harddrive and also sent the computer in to have the cooling vent cleaned out and the RAM and hard drive checked. Since getting it back it crashes less but it is still happening. I was getting a variety of BSOD messages before but now seem to be getting "Driver_IRQL_not_ess_or_equal" the most.

I have a Toshiba L630 Satellite PSK04A laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 Bit. The laptop itself is about 2 years old.
Please let me know if you need any more info, thanks! :)

You can update them from here: AMD Driver Autodetect or from your laptops manufacturers website.
Install all updates and Service Pack 1:
Code:
Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP
Perform a System File Check:
  1. Click on the start :orb:
  2. Type CMD on Search
  3. Left click and Run as Administrator
  4. Type SFC /scannow
Full tutorial here:
Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using CrystalDiskInfo:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required:
Let us know the results & await the .nfo file.

Hello,
I managed to update the Intel drivers and the graphics card drivers, although the 2010 update was the most recent one available from the Toshiba website, so I updated my card (the 5145) with the recommended drivers for the 4000 series as per the Driver Finder program.
However I am having some problems with the service pack installation part of the process; every time I try to install it, it won't download, and when it DOES occasionally download, it will begin to install and then eventually fail.
I have gotten the error message WindowsUpdate_800B0100?
Thanks.

Have you run SFC Scannow?
(Do that if you haven't - up to 3 times if necessary)
Reset windows update:

Make scans with the following:

-Kaspersky TDSSKiller
-ESET online scanner
Install MSE:
Microsoft Security Essentials.
Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-
   Warning
:ar: Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.
Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required:

Hello,
I ran all the programs including ScanNow 3 times which showed no results, and one of the scans deleted 5 infected files.
However I STILL cannot update the Service Pack and am getting the same error message. Is there any other way of doing this?
