Solved BSOD when closing/opening DOTA 2

hi guys I'm new here..

I was playing dota 2 and SOMETIMES when I close dota 2 it BSOD and also when I try to open it(but has more chances on BSOD when closing it)

sometimesit doesn't happen. this time DOTA 2 is already opened and I alt tab to swicth to my chromebrowser then it BSOD.

the bsod says "win32k.sys" but "cdd.dll" shows up most of the time.

IDK what's happening.. can you help me guys?

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.

thanks for the reply and the info dude.

my bsod stopped from appearing after reopening and closing dota 2 I don't know why though?

But I will try it. the fix you said.

I also have a problem.I bought this pc from a friend and he uninstalled his genuine windows 7 and installed a pirated version of windows7 hereon the pc.(I think,but it says it is activated though.)

will updating to sp1 and other updates affect my current os???
I have important work files so I don't want to lose it.

I'm gonna buy a genuine windows 8 but I'm still saving up for it.. T_T

A pirated os is subject to not work properly due to its own virtue. And, as per the forum rules we don't support the counterfeit installations.
