About every 3rd or 4th time I put my computer in sleep mode I am getting the BSOD. This is a brand new computer I put together myself one piece at a time. All the parts were bought brand new. I have followed the guidelines laid out in the BSOD posting instructions thread and have attached the requested files. Any help with this would be much appreciated! Thanks!

System Specs:

  • Windows 7
  • Home Premium
  • x64 bit
  • OEM
  • The entire system is a little under a month old

Related to SCMNdisP.sys NDIS User mode I/O Driver from Windows (R) Codename Longhorn DDK provider. Yours is from 2007 and this driver is only used in Longhorn (beta).

I would remove it.

Alright, what is the best way to go about removing it? I assume it's as simple as finding the file and deleting it?

Might be that simple. Might be because there is no newer replacement. I would re-name it to *.bak so it cant load and see if anything complains.

Ok, changed it. So far everything seems fine. I'll have to wait till I put my computer to sleep a few times to see if the problem persists. I'll let you know if that solved it or not.
