Hello

I have a Dell E6420 laptop that is giving me grief with blue screens. I've run the extended Dell test, checked the hard drive, and run ram tests without much help. I just updated to the most recent nvidia driver also. Looking at the last dump file with blue screen view gives me below. I attached the other text listed below from blue screen view, not sure if needed but long.

Thanks

The BSOD is caused by by the display driver.

And you are using a BETA version. Install the 314.22 WHQL only.

  • Uninstall All nvidia items in Control Panel > Programs and features
    • 3D Vision Control Driver
    • 3D Vision Driver
    • Graphics Driver
    • HD Audio Driver
    • PhysX
    • nvidia Update
(Are you using nvidia chipset drivers? If so, dont uninstall anything other than those are listed).
  • Now follow Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling
  • Boot normally now. Go to Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers, Download 314.22 WHQL. While installing, Select Custom (Advanced) install. In the next page, follow this settings:

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats.

I uninstalled all the nvidia drivers, used driver sweeper, and reinstalled the latest whql driver from nvidia for nvs quadro 4200m. Still having the same issue. I'm going to uninstall and reinstall an older whql. Other than that possibly videocard going out?

My control panel havent notified it to me ..... and it is not linked in our site too http://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-cards/602-latest-nvidia-forceware-video-drivers-windows-7-a.html

Even my driver search says that 320.49 is the latest. So I did not know about that version.

I guess you should give a known stable driver a chance at first.

The numbering for quadro business class drivers and geforce consumer drivers are not the same fyi. I'm uninstalling all the drivers for video currently and updating all to the latest whql (intel and nvidia since optimus). See what happens.
