i am gettting a BSOD as soon as i plug in a external HDD in the front of my computer

NOT USB External HDD

i mean like external bay HDD the ones you can put inside your PC
But because i can open the flap on the front of my PC i can connect 2 HDDs in there
because mine is a gaming PC

i have had this PC just a few weeks and everything was working fine on monday 15th june 2015

i do daily scans for virsus and stuff

But since wednesday 17th june 2015

every time i connect any HDD i get a BSOD

but yet i freshly reinstalled windows 7 with nothing installed like i just installed windows and then let it start up Like a fresh fresh install and connected the external HDD and gave me the BSOD and i am thinking how can that happen if i just freshly reinstalled windows ?

this happens with any HDD i connect the same thing happens just gives me BSOD

even with windows 8 when i connect any external HDD i get BSOD
well on windows 8 it said crictical process died
and then restarted the computer

But on 7 it just gives the BSOD

Even in safe mode when i connect any HDD it gives me the BSOD

i have fully updated all drivers and windows updates and stuff
still no luck i dont know what is causing this to happen ?

all i have is an internal SSD that is running windows

This is just really strange as all HDDs were working last week and now all of them are causing a BSOD every time i connect one

All drivers are up to date and so on and fully up to date with windows updates so i dont know what is causing this BSOD every time i connect any of my external HDDs

any help would be most greatful thank you !
