so im getting this bsod since long time ago, sometimes it not appear, but when it once appear, it will come over over again.. and 3 days ago it come, and appear when startup windows. so, i boot up my pc, and logging screen and desktop. and 3 sec bsod, i boot up again. and same thing happens. so i boot in safe mode. it not appear. so i thought it is not hardware problem, so i searching in internet for this bsod. usually it caused by atikmpag.sys dxkgrnl.sys dxgmms1.sys ntoskrnl.exe watchdog.sys. so i do the instruction for download & install the latest driver by AMD which is 13.1 for my HD 4650 and keep bsod, so i follow instruction again for EXPAND.exe manual in cmd for atikmpag.sy_ and atikmdag.sy_ it make me not bsod anymore until now.

today i got bsod when watching movie in media player classic.

please help me to get rid of this bsod,

thank you very much for reply and help

Hello blackstrike and welcome to the Forums,

Please don't bump your thread; it's against the forum rules and disadvantageous for you as it makes the thread seem more busy as if you were receiving assistance.
2) No useless posts, e.g., thread bumping, useless one liners, junk posting to increase post count, and identical multi-postings in different forums.
Read here: Forum Rules

There are only a few BSoD debuggers at this Forum and there are a lot of threads. Please be patient until one comes to your thread as it may take a while.

As you can see all dump files (including the one while watching Twitch) point to your GPU.
What are the results of running Furmark as displayed in my previous post?

----------

Please download Speccy.

  1. Download and install Speccy.
  2. Open Speccy. Click on the Summary tab.
  3. Click on File and then on Save Snapshot.
  4. Set the save location as your desktop and upload the file by following this tutorial.
    :ar: Please upload a snapshot of your machine in the following situations;
    • Idle, after startup.
    • After being used for a few hours.
    • After straining the GPU by, for example, playing some High Res games.

As we can see here, the Windows DirectX drivers are very busy before your system crashes, which only confirms that the cause is, indeed, your GPU.
If you haven't got it installed already, please download and install DirextX 11.1 by downloading the KB2670838 update.
:info:Please read before installing; How to download and install DirectX.

----------

Have you ever reapplied the thermal paste on your GPU? Please do so by following this tutorial. Please also clean your desktop on the inside as displayed in this tutorial.
For more info, please watch this video:

:info: The video speaks of the CPU, but this also applies to the GPU.

Are these problems resolved or are you still experiencing problems with MSE?

Please use the SFC /SCANNOW command as displayed in option two of this tutorial.

  1. Click on the :orb:.

  3. Type "SFC /SCANNOW" without the quotations.
  4. Let SFC do it's thing, and then prompted to, restart.

If SFC found and repaired anything, please do the following:
  5. When restarted, open an elevated command prompt.

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

Hello Blackstrike,

Thanks for the update. :)

----------

Can you please upload the Speccy screenshots as described in step three and four in my previous post (as an image, rather than a .speccy file)?

Regarding Furmark, I understand it that you don't want to do that, but regardless, 74C is very high, so you might want to consider doing it anyway.

----------

Purely for information, please download GPU-Z;

  1. Download the latest version from one of the available servers.
  2. Double click on the downloaded file, accept the UAC prompt and select the second option; No. Use GPU-Z as stand alone program.
  3. Using the drop down arrow, select the ATI Radeon HD 4600.
  4. Click on the photo camera in the upper right corner, and select Save to file.
  5. Save it on the desktop as GPU-Z output.
  6. Upload the image by following this tutorial.
----------

Do keep us posted please. It could very well have been an issue with the 13.1 driver, since it's not supported by your GPU.

Do you maybe have a spare GPU lying around to see if the problem is also present while using that one?

Good luck and keep us posted,
Nommy

Hello Blackstrike,

Thanks for the info, both Speccy and GPU-Z look fine.

----------

Regarding Furmark, you can stop the test whenever you want. I'd recommend that you let the temps get as high as you are comfortable with, and in the mean while look out for artifacts.

----------

If you decide to run Furmark and it turns out clear, use your system for a few days to see if the problems persist. If they don't, please report back and mark the thread as solved.
If they do persist, please report back with a fresh scan of the SF Diagnostic Tool.

Good luck and keep us posted,
Nommy
