Hi all I hope someone can help.

My BSOD only happens when i am playing games. It happens most frequently in Bad Company 2 but i also get it in EVE and Rift.

My setup:
AMD PHENOM II X4 965 SOCKET AM3 (3.40GHz/8MB CACHE) - BLACK EDITION
ASUS® M4A79XTD EVO
2GB ATI RADEON™ HD 6970
4GB CORSAIR XMS3 DUAL-DDR3 1600MHz
1TB Samsung Spinpoint F3
PSU 750w HP-750-G14C-SILVER System is NOT overclocked only set to out of the box settings.

Windows 7 Home Premium 64 I have a retail copy which was preinstalled.
The system is just over a year old and worked perfectly until about a month ago.
Have reinstalled Win7 a couple of times in the last few weeks.

What i have swapped/run so far in an attempt to find a solution.

Have reinstalled Windows twice recently.

Have swapped out the hard drive for another reinstall.

Have replaced GFX card from a 5870. Problem starting when this older card was installed and replaced it thinking it was a heat issue.

Have run Prime95 on 3 separate stress tests for at least 6 hours each. No errors.

Have run memtest86 on individual sticks and altogether for at least 7 passes. No errors.

Any help would be most appreciated as i am at my wits end with it.

Thanks.

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint.

Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress.

You can read more on this error and what to try here... Stop 0x124 - what it means and what to try http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Thanks for the reply mate.

As i have swapped out most pieces it looks like i'll need to open the wallet then and get a new mb. Hopefully can get a deal on it with a new cpu.
