Hi all,
I have received a number of BSOD's in the past 2-3 days. They have started occurring out of the blue, as I had not had one in a very long time (perhaps a year or so), and last time it was due to faulty RAM. This time I have very little understanding of the cause. I have used the Windows Debugger to analyze the crash dump, and have attached a .txt output of the analysis, and I have also attached a DM Log Collector zip file of the crash dumps.

For quick reference, here is the beginning of the output from Windows Debugger:

DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE (9f)
A driver has failed to complete a power IRP within a specific time.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000003, A device object has been blocking an Irp for too long a time
Arg2: fffffa8004989a10, Physical Device Object of the stack
Arg3: fffff80000b9a3d8, nt!TRIAGE_9F_POWER on Win7 and higher, otherwise the Functional Device Object of the stack
Arg4: fffffa8003a9c870, The blocked IRP

Thanks in advance

Hi ICIT2LOL,

I followed the "BSOD Posting Instructions" and attached the .zip file which is produced to the original thread. My PC is set up to produce dump files, so I have attached the minidump which I have of the issue to this reply.

Ok well from a quick look at this dump it is showing some graphical issue
Code:
 X64_0x9F_3_POWER_DOWN_[COLOR="Red"]atikmpag[/COLOR]_IMAGE_pci.sys

Now the suggested fix for this is to uninstall the Catalyst Control Centre and use only the driver for the GPU.AMD Driver Autodetect
