Hello. I am getting physical memory dumps at random times/tasks but always when more memory is called for. I've tried most of the top hits in google with no help for a fix. File included thx for any help.
Hello and welcome killjaymz now mate you do have very little RAM to be running the version of Windows you are and it does really need 4GB to run efficiently.
One bugcheck is referring it possibly to the memory being suspect.
Code:
BUGCHECK_STR: [COLOR="Red"]0x7a[/COLOR]_c0000185
Now the obvious thing to do besides increasing the RAM is to test it so please see this
Now to make absolutely we are on the same page the memtest linked here is the*only*one we recommend and it MUST be run for at least 8 passes or you may as well not bother. It is rather lengthy and best left for a downtime for that machine - overnight is good. Having said that you can stop the test if errors show up while you are around and then it is a matter of tracking down the bad stick of RAM.* RAM - Test with Memtest86+
(This is pretyped to save time)
Edit: I did mean to add that this error code could be an issue with the hard drive. But lets get the RAM sorted first.

Thanks m8. I will run the check and I realize tht 2gb of RAM is poor for this version of windows and I will be increasing it to 4gb soon. I have stripped all of the bells and whistles from win7 including startup and background apps to decrease the amount of RAM usage as much as possible but it still is not enough. Thx for the feed back!
Ok well the sooner yo get more RAM on board then the better.
One thing I would suggest is you is try this Optimize Windows 7
It is my bible when clean installing and/or fixing friends and family machines plus I do it to everyone of my own machines. If you are not really confident with handling things such as doing things in the registry - and I am not saying you aren't - just follow the tutorial through step by step you will find it very handy to know how to do such things as well as make your machine that little bit faster and more efficient.
You will find that some of the tips in points #6 and #7 do turn of certain features I call "bling" because I don't think they are necessary myself ie transparency all of which gobble RAM
