At first I thought it was league of legends itself that was giving me System_service_exception 0x0000003B but then I was watching video and streaming radio and after a while my fan started running a little harder and then BSOD.

Before all of this I had a bad hdd and I swaped it out for a new one and reinstalled windows 7 on my system all I have installed right now is League Of Legends and AVG Free. I have taken my computer completely apart and cleaned the dust out and my computer is fine, but it seems that I get the BSOD when I do something that makes the computer heat up ...

Awaiting any questions for anything else you need to know.

Windows 7 Ultimate x64
- Not the original installed
-It is full retail
-HP Pavillion DV7 1448dx (about 2 years old)
-Just reinstalled the OS on another HDD from the one that I was having problems with in the firstplace.

Hello,

I'd suspect some hardware is at fault here. Try running some hardware tests and see how they do.

Run all three Prime95 tests: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html

Run Memtest86: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Also, there might be a network issue. Install the latest Realtek ethernet drivers from here: http://218.210.127.131/downloads/do...d=5&Level=5&Conn=4&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Ok I will do this ... yesterday while I was waiting I disassembled the laptop down to the motherboard and vacuumed out more dust and and blew dust off of the processor and video chip and I have been playing League of Legends and using my computer with no BSODs ... before I would get it 10 mins in and now I have played 4-5 40-minute games in a row with no BSODs...

Well that sounds very encouraging already. See if the BSODs are gone for good; if so, you don't need to even bother running those hardware tests. Do update the Realtek driver though, as that is a separate issue.

A few things to keep in mind...

  • NEVER operate a lappy in bed with lappy sitting on bed or comforter, etc... or laying it on carpet, couch, etc... Put your hand over your mouth, close your fingers, and try to breathe in... thats what happens to lappys when set on a soft surface. Suffocated!
  • Clean (blow out) dust on a regular basis... especially if you use lappy as a daily PC.
  • If issues persists, try a good laptop cooling tray/table!
Hope its all better!

Lol I NEEEEVER do that ... lol At one point I was so iffy about heat I had it sitting on a Box Fan as my cooling pad cause I couldn't afford a cooling pad... I always have it sitting on this not mechanical cooling pad that just holds it up off the table :)

AVG is the culprit here uninstall it and use MSE instead..download and uninstall with this tool:

Perhaps a routine in AVG was stuck in a loop and causing high CPU usage?
