Hi all,

New to the forum so hoping I get this right. Basically I have started experiencing BSOD's when playing BF3 as follows:

The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000007f (0x0000000000000008, 0x000000008005f031, 0x00000000000006f8, 0xfffff880011acf4d).

I have not changed any hardware, and suspect something around the game being updated has started to cause me problems. I have carried out the capture utility as instructed and am really hoping some of you Gurus can point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

Sinister.

What operating system are you using? There is a bad memory leak with windows 8 at the minute. Also, what graphics card are you using? If you are using nvidia and just installed the latest driver that was relaxed in the last day or so then try uninstalling your driver with clean sweeper or something like that and rolling back to the last driver you were using before you were getting the crashes.

Hi Colinjbro,

I'm on win7 x64 with the latest nvidia driver (however the BSOD happened on the prior version also). I may uninstall the gfx driver/clean up and re-install from scratch.

thanks for your reply.

I'm still hoping someone can interrogate the DMP fille attached within the zip file and give me something more definitive though.

Cheers.

If you are overclocking any hardware, STOP. Reset any changed values back to default. Uninstall all/any overclocking software and can lead to system instability and BSOD's. Please reset all components to their stock speeds and then remove the software.

AVG can contribute in BSOD-s sometimes. Please uninstall it and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials (to test).
MSE is recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software:-
:warn: Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

For monitoring the heat/celsius of the system, use Speccy or HWinfo:

Run the System File Checker. It allows the user to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files.

  • 1. Click on the :orb:
    2. Type CMD on Search
    3. Left click and Run as Administrator
    4. Type SFC /scannow
Full tutorial here:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Free up the start-up, nothing except the antivirus is usually needed:

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using crystal disk info and Summary tab using Speccy:

Check for a newer version on the BIOS:
Code:
BIOS Version/Date	Phoenix Technologies, LTD ASUS M2N32-SLI DELUXE ACPI BIOS Revision 5002, [COLOR="Red"]18/03/2010[/COLOR]
Clear any dust accumulated.

Can you tell us why these devices are disabled?
Code:
Realtek RTL8187 Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter	USB\VID_0BDA&PID_8187\0015AF013FCF	This device is disabled.
AODDriver4.01	ROOT\LEGACY_AODDRIVER4.01\0000	This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed.
Go to this link: Intel® Driver Update Utility and check the system for latest updates. Download and install any newer drivers it finds.
