HI everyone, First time poster, here.

I installed a new SSD and some new memory over the past week. Fresh install of Win 7 Pro 64, full version. Installed new drivers to hardware, then updated to sp1.
I thought everything was good and tried new games, like BF3, Skyrim, MW3. All good.
Tried top play some Blk Op. Pick a crowded server, try to log on and crash. BSOD.
Find a half empty server, no problem. Try another near full server and crash.

System...
AMD Phenom II X4 955
Window 7 Pro full retail version new install
Asus M4A89GTD Pro MB
Radeon 5870 X2 crossfired
12gb memory
Mushkin Callisto Deluxe 120gb SSD
I reinstalled the OS this week, and most of my hardware is less then a year old.

TIA
Joe

Virtually all of these were BCC50 and Related to atikmdag.sys ATI Radeon Kernel Mode Driver..

I would re-install using this method and if you still are crashing I would roll back to a previous driver.

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using

Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

No good...
I used DriverSweeper 3.2 to remove the old display drivers(there was two, one labled AMD and one labled Nvidia?) and reinstalled driver 11.12 from ATI Radeon and no luck.
Tried DriverSweeper again and installed driver 11.11 and still the same thing.
BSOD when trying to log on to a busy server.

The most recent DMPS point to the same thing as before.

What changed when this problem started?

Do you have a backup we can restore from before the problem started?

I added RAM....and not the same brand, but same kind.
I tried going back to my original RAM and it did the same thing.
Since then I have run Memtest, for over 7 passes and have gotten no errors.

Then it is probably ram.

If I try switching out RAMs. Do I have to reinstall the AMD driver for each swap?

Why would you need to install any driver when swapping the ram?

Why would you need to install any driver when swapping the ram?

cause I thought it was related and maybe the rams caused the AMD drivers to badly install or something. :o

Anyway, been swapping out ram sticks and slots, which I've tried before.
Even the old RAM is causing the same BSOD. Have a few more combinations to try. Will report back tomorrow.

Thanks for the replies, ZigZag3143.

Ok, so I've been swapping out RAMs every chance I get and I still get the same BSOD, with every RAM in every slot, and every other combination that I can think of, ends with a BSOD logging on to a busy BlkOP server.

Anyway this is a hard drive issue or a software conflict?

One of my Radeon 5870 was the cause of the BSoD.

Thanks to everyone who posted.
Tight lines to all who looked.
