Solved BSOD When playing games or watching stream (seems video related)

I've gotten this many times while playing video games or watching streams/video online in chrome. I got this computer 3 days ago... I downloaded dropbox, skype and some other random apps, but nothing crazy that i can think of.

I feel like it is video card related, I have a NVIDIA GeForce GT 525M and Intel(R) HD Graphics Family under "Display Adapters".

I have a Dell XPS 15, Intel Core i5-2450M @2.5GHz (Not overclocked)

I just switched to PC after 8 years of Mac OSX, and this is not the way I thought I would be greeted again.

Please help, it would make my day.

Please upload your msinfo32.nfo file. To get this: Start Menu -> Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box -> When it opens, go to File, Save -> Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember -> Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info -> Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder -> Upload the .zip file here.

The antivirus you are currently using is known and contributing to your BSOD-s, consider uninstalling it with the McAfee Removal Tool and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.
Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-
:warn: Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

The latest NVIDIA drivers are a little buggy (I've heard so).

Do the following:----

Click on the Start :orb: ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; NVIDIA. REBOOT

Delete remnants of its drivers using Driver Fusion/Sweeper REBOOT again

Now install the drivers linked on this filehippo link:
Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:
Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:
Let us know the results and further BSOD-s if any.

Just tried to uninstall McAfee using the tool you linked, but it didn't work and gave me an error stating:
"Enterprise Software Detected. See log for more details."

So I tried to just download MSE over it, but it told me I had to uninstall McAfee to work properly, so I followed their advice to you appwiz.cpl and it warned me that I may need to use a "clean up" program to get what that appwiz.cpl could not remove.

-- Do you have one you can recommend?

I am currently restarting my computer to try and install MSE.

Alright, took 2 hours, but I did the disk check and it said "0 bad sectors" so I think all is good.

I will post here if I get another BSOD.

Did you install MSE and MBAM? Full scanned? Just to make sure you're not having any virus. Did SFC scan find any corrupted files to repair?

Keep the system under observance for a week before marking as solved :)

I was able to install MSE and it seems to work, the scan did not result in any bugs or corrupted files.

Didn't get MBAM... Is it necessary? and I must have not seen the link for it before.

The SFC scan took 2 hours and said no bad reported files.

And will do, how do I mark this thread as resolved?

SFC scan took two hours? :eek: Malware bytes would be good but its your choice.
