BSOD when Typing

My HP Probook 4421s is having a BSOD every time I type intensely. I mean when I start typing fast enough in every program (I thought at first it is because I type in Adobe Photoshop, since the program eat a huge amount of RAM. But it is also occured when I type in Ms. Office).

The BSOD only happening when I'm typing fast. Not when I browse the internet, not when I watch movie, not when I'm playing a game, not when I draw on Photoshop.

What's happening in here? I googled everywhere but nothing came up.

Uninstall Kaspersky: Removal tool for Kaspersky Lab products

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.
Run the System File Checker. It allows the user to scan for and restore corruptions in Windows system files.

  3. Left click and Run as Administrator
  4. Type SFC /scannow

I did all the step mentioned above, but the BSOD is still occurring.

This software is a known cause of BSOD's. The windows 7 operating system does not require these registry cleaning software. They often tune-down rather than tune-up and can wreck the OS beyond repair. Microsoft have improved Windows 7 significantly and it is much better at organising and optimising itself than its predecessors. Check this,this and this thread for evidence.

If you feel the need to use a registry cleaning or optimisation software, most of us recommend the use of CCleaner but make sure you back up the registry before making letting ccleaner delete anything.

Upload a screenshot of your hard disk using CrystalDiskInfo:

Make a hard drive test from the hard drive manufacturers website:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

The goal is to test all the RAM sticks and all the motherboard slots.

Check your motherboard manual to ensure the RAM sticks are in the recommended motherboard slots. Some motherboards have very specific slots required for the number of RAM sticks installed.

If you get errors, stop the test and continue with the next step.

1. Remove all but one stick of RAM from your computer (this will be RAM stick #1), and run Memtest86 again, for 7 passes.

*Be sure to note the RAM stick, use a piece of tape with a number, and note the motherboard slot.

If this stick passes the test then go to step #3.

2. If RAM stick #1 has errors, repeat the test with RAM stick #2 in the same motherboard slot.

*If RAM stick #2 passes, this indicates that RAM stick #1 may be bad. If you want to be absolutely sure, re-test RAM stick #1 in another known good slot.

*If RAM stick #2 has errors, this indicates another possible bad RAM stick, a possible motherboard slot failure or inadequate settings.
​

3. Test the next stick of RAM (stick #2) in the next motherboard slot.

*If this RAM stick has errors repeat step #2 using a known good stick if possible, or another stick.

*If this RAM stick has no errors and both sticks failed in slot#1, test RAM stick #1 in this slot.
​

4. If you find a stick that passes the test, test it in all the other motherboard slots.

If Part 2 testing shows errors, and all tests in Part 3 show errors, you will need to test the RAM sticks in another computer and/or test other RAM in your computer to identify the problem.

In this way, you can identify whether it is a bad stick of RAM, a bad motherboard, or incompatibility between the sticks.

Errors are sometimes found after 8 passes.

Do this test overnight, before going to bed.

I have un-installed the TuneUp Utilities 2013. And then after a restart, it's not BSOD but my laptop is then overheating and dead. What is happening in here? I just only reached the first step.

Now I can't get my laptop turned on for more than 15 minutes. There's no sign of the fan blowing faster (the usual behavior when a PC is starting to heating up), everything looks normal, unless the metal body of my laptop keeps getting hotter, and then.. PIP! my laptop is suddenly dead without any warning.

HELP!

Scan the system for possible virus infection.

• Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
• Windows Defender Offline

Do some general USB maintenance. For the port, first, uninstall and reinstall the USB ports drivers.

1. Right click on Computer icon > manage. It will open the computer management window.
2. Click on "Device Manager" in the left pane, it will list all installed devices up.
3. Expand "USB Serial Bus Controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
4. Click on one item to select, then right click and uninstall.
5. Do the same for all.
6. Restart the computer.
7. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate drivers.

And, Disable USB Selective Suspense too.

For the devices, first, detach all the USB devices other than the keyboard and mouse.
Then, Update the drivers for them all, including the keyboard and mouse, if any third party drivers are installed for them. Take a special care for the Printer/scanner.

I've tested the temperature, and I notice that it's going to 80 degree C in less than 10mins. And when it gets to about 87 degree Celsius the laptop shut off.

Scan the system for possible virus infection.

Is it really necessary to use Kaspersky product again? As in the first reply suggested to remove any kaspersky product and scan the laptop using Malware Bytes. I'm pretty sure there's no virus activity in here.

It is not that Kaspersky product that you were suggested to uninstall. It is a totally different thing, and it will not install anything in your computer; its just a standalone executable.

To me, and us, surity is not any believe, but an empirical fact. So the test are not only necessary, but also must. There is enough reason that I suggest that scan.
