Solved BSOD when waking comp from sleep, multiple BSOD errors

Hello there,

I've been having BSOD since around 2/14/16. They have different codes and the most recent one was today error 0x000000d1. I've noticed that it seems to happen when I wake up my computer from sleep. My CPU was overclocked when this started and as of 2/19/16 I've reset it to default speed. My sister recommended this forum to me.

Edit: I was looking through my images on my phone and I sent my sister a screenshot on 2/19 of a BAD_POOL_HEADER BSOD STOP: 0x00000019. We uninstalled my HP printer driver which was the newest driver at the time, uninstalled my NVIDIA video driver, downloaded windows essentials and scanned the comp (clean), uninstalled malwarebytes, reset CPU speed and installed the newest NVIDIA driver. I reinstalled malwarebytes as well and ran a scan (clean). Didn't have any issues until today.

So you aren't overclocking right now?

The most recent BSODs were caused by cmudaxp.sys which is an ASUS audio driver, manually update or reinstall the audio drivers. You may need to uninstall, reboot, and perform a fresh audio driver install.You can download the new drivers from here:

Edit: So I downloaded the newest Asus audio drivers and I uninstalled my Asus Xonar driver. I restarted the computer and ran the installer. After restarting again, I went to my device manager and was a little confused. Before uninstalling the Xonar driver, it was the top device on the list followed by two High Definition devices. Now the Asus Xonar device is up there again followed by one High Definition driver and now a Realtek High Definition Audio device. I'm confused because I looked at the version of the Asus Xonar driver prior to uninstalling and it's the same now after the installation. The Realtek Driver matches the one I downloaded, there wasn't a Xonar driver. Did I do something wrong? I guess we will see if I get another BSOD? Oh and I tried clicking update driver but it says I have the most current one.

Ok I spoke to my sis it's the Uni Xonar Dx 7.1 card. I'm downloading the driver from UNi Xonar Drivers official page - MaxedTech

Edit: I installed an older driver version 1.75 hopefully that helps!

Well darn. I had another BSOD! They happen so fast I can't write it down! I was walking away when I noticed it after waking my computer up. :/ I guess the older driver didn't help?

Hm I'm thinking that you might not know which Xonar card you actually have.

The crash was caused by cmudaxp.sys which point to the ASUS Xonar sound card rather than the Uni one that you have talked about. Have you tried to install the drivers for the ASUS card, if not try here:

At my wits end!!!

So there is no way to upload my log zip cause I can't even boot in safe mode. There was a power outage while we were out of the house on Tuesday night so when I came home my computer was off. When I booted my computer I kept getting a BSOD (I don't remember which one) randomly and when I would restart the computer I would get a prompt asking me to run HSmgr.exe and HSmger64.exe. I looked it up and realize that they were related to my Asus Xonar sound card (surprise surprise!). I have had it with that sound card so I decided to uninstall the driver. I ran malwarebytes and windows defender, both were clean. My sister recommended reinstalling the driver to see if it would help since it was working fine before the outage and she recommended disabling the sound card from BIOS so that it wouldn't cause a BSOD. I did that and I installed the driver. I restarted the computer and it prompted me again to run those two programs. I read online that you can disable it but the sound won't work. I tried removing it from start up and this is where I think I messed up. After this, all hell broke loose. My computer kept crashing with BSOD. My sister recommended physically removing the sound card. Not sure if that was the best idea cause my comp got worse. I've had the following BSODs:
SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION 0x0000003B (at least twice)
IRQL_GT_ZERO_AT_SYSTEM_SERVICE 0x0000004A (At least three times)
When trying to repair: "Instruction at 0xfb32073b referenced memory at 0xffffffff. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate the program. " Followed by BSOD of 0x0000007E
MEMORY MANAGEMENT 0x0000001A (at least twice)
PFN_LIST_CORRUPT 0x0000004E (at least twice)
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0x000000D1
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL 0X0000000A (at least twice)
PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA 0x00000050
When trying to do clean install of Windows 7 with my ISO that I downloaded from Microsoft and placed on a USB using their USB/DVD download program:
STOP: 0x0000001E

I can't repair, I can't restore, I can't boot in safe or regular mode, can't clean install windows 7... I don't know what else to do! When I boot in regular mode, my screen resolution is really low like I'm in safe mode or like my video card driver is gone and I can't use my mouse.. Oh and I put my sound card back in and it still doesn't work. During safemode, the last thing loaded is classpnp.sys before it BSOD. The screenshots are when I'm trying to install windows 7

Damn and I had hoped that we had fixed your problem, do you have a Windows 7 disk? With it you could try to repair your W7.

The BSODs you get while installing W7 might be caused by the following things:

low disc space
a 3rd party driver
outdated BIOS(but I checked it, all good)

Check if the SATA controller set to IDE in the bios! If it is on AHCI change it to IDE and try to install again.

Boo I was hoping that would work. I changed the SATA config to IDE and it still gives me the STOP 0x0000001E about 20 seconds into whatever I do in the W7 installation from the USB. All I'm clicking is start, it won't even reach the ToA or anything.. I tried using an external optical drive with the W7 disk but it says I need the disk drivers..

I'm pretty sure they are fine as far as space, I installed most of my stuff on my HDD which is 1T and I have plenty of space left. The SSD is like 120G. Windows 7 is installed on my SSD. So I noticed that even when I'm in bios, in about 20 seconds my bios will freeze. So I tend to have about 20 seconds to do anything (be in bios, repair, boot, install win7, etc.) and that's when my computer will crash. Do you think it's the mother board at this point?

Okay have you tried booting and pressing F8 and selecting Last Known Good Configuration?

I'm right now just juggling ideas as it is really hard to know the actual cause without anything to go on.

Yes I have tried that and I will get a BSOD! I'm not home right now but I will try again when I get home and let you know which BSOD it is. I wish I could get the log for you!

Success!!

Boris!! I have excellent news! So I talked to my sister (she's is so awesome!) and we came up with the solution of installing W7 on my HDD first. So I popped the sound card out and I flashed my BIOS while the power was hooked up but the computer off, that helped a lot with the BIOS freezing. Then we decided to disconnect the SSD because that's where my OS is. We also removed 3 of my memory sticks because we got a Bad Header BSOD when trying to install W7 on my 1T HDD. With the one stick of memory, we were able to install it on my HDD using an external optical drive. Once that was completed, we plugged the SSD again and added another stick of memory. I was able to access the W7 install CD with no issues so I was able to format both drives. I'm currently installing it again on the SSD, so far so good! I'm going to try the other two sticks of memory again after this is done to make sure they are all OK! I'm so excited! I'll let you know how everything goes.

Edit: All memory is working fine! Everything is working well! I've updated my drivers and I'm downloading windows updates. I feel so much better, I was having nightmares about this last night! Thank you for everything Boris!
