BSOD: Whenever HDMI is inserted.

Hi,

I have an Acer Aspire 5810T laptop. It had been working perfectly fine with HDMI until 4 days ago, when it crashed whilst I was browsing Youtube, and brought up the BSOD.

I tried rebooting a few times, but it never managed to get past the BSOD screen.

Upon attempting to use a VGA cable, it has loaded up fine, and been working without a hitch, until I insert the HDMI again, which results in another BSOD.

I have run the "Diagnose you computers memory problems" option, as I read that was a good start in addressing BSOD, however it found nothing.

The Laptop itself isn't exactly powerful, however it's been used to run some Point & Click games (which weren't graphically demanding), as well as The Sims 3, which has led some contacts to believe it's caused an issue with my Graphics Card.

I have used the DM Log Collecter, which has been attached to this post.

Please let me know if I need to add any more information to this post.

Laptop Specs:

Acer Aspire 5810T
CPU: Intel Core 2 Solo Processor SU3500 (1.4GHz, 800MHz FSB)
VGA: Intel GMA 4500MHD (Up To 1244MB)
Memory: 4GB DDR3 Memory
HDD: 500GB HDD

Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit.

Thanks in advance,

All of your dumps are pointing to your Intel graphics driver.

It's old and needs updating. However, the version listed on the Acer website is older than the one you have installed. Search the Intel Download Center to serach for more recent drivers.

Uninstall DaemonTools, a known cause of BSODs by following the steps below.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
3. Double click the executable to open it
4. Click the button shown below

If the button it is grayed out, as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can just close the window.

Hi, thanks for the reply!

Daemon Tools has been uninstalled (forgot that was even there), and there was nothing for the SPTD Installer to remove.

Having difficulties with the Drivers for the Graphics card however. Call me an idiot, but I cannot seem too find them on the Intel Driver site? I've looked at both current, and discontinued products, but can't seem to match any up?

Am I missing something incredibly obvious?

To be honest I struggled myself, I'm still looking but can't find a match on the Intel site at all. It may be worth dropping Acer a line outlining the problem and seeing what they recommend.
