Hello, my computer experience some BSOD while booting.

The problem happen only when I turn on the PC from a turned OFF state, I get a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT BSOD and when a restart everything is OK.

Recently, I upgrade my RAM from kingston 1 * 8 Gb C11 to 2 * 8 Gb C9 corsair vengeance, and since the problem appeared. My PC is a MSI GT70 2PE dominator pro.

What I did:
memtest : 7 passes with NO ERROR
switch to Windows 10, clean install
re-switch to Windows 7, clean install
try to use the minimum of drivers, use different version of graphic drivers, chipset, audio, lan, wireless...
I only install chrome, ccleaner, ESET smart security, VLC, photofiltre, mydefrag and driverCloud, but the problem is still there.

I need some help now, I don't know what to do, because I think the ram is OK, it's a software problem no ?

Thanks for help, kiss :)

Hello and welcome Lobidon now just to get it right -
What memtest did you use ? - the memtest we recommend here has to be run for at least 8 passes any less and the outcome would not be conclusive.

Before you reinstalled 7 did you wipe the drive thoroughly? as we have a fair number of members who are uninstalling 10 and returning to 7 that are experiencing problems / issues.

If you want to do memtest then see this http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

I would personally run these too to eliminate any problems from the reinstall just because it installed may not necessarily mean it has gone without a hitch.

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html< if necessary include the /f and /r in the command line as per Option2

Ok what I didn't say but I think it is included in the tutorial is that if the test come back with errors BEFORE 8 passes you can stop the test. You then have to narrow down what sticks - or slots are at fault.
In my pic the version is wrong but is still the same sort of screen as the current one.

Btw, I used the memtest you recommand, in order to clarify things, I first installed W10 on a brand new SSD (850 pro 256Go) erased with the magician software, problems happend, then install W7 formating the disk with windows installation software and then reinstall W10 an retry with seven.

I'll run the other things this afternoon and come back to tell you the result.

Sometimes, when I boot with no BSOD, Dropbox crash when windows start, maybe it's linked ?

Thanks a lot

Now just backing up to the post where you said you erased 10 using the Magician software - personally I never rely on an erase other than using the command prompt clean all or the wipe function with Partition Wizard. CCleaner offers a similar function but for sheer thoroughness the clean all is the best.

Maybe there has been some left overs that have had conflicts with the fresh install and yes the Dropbox could be one of the install items that has become affected so.

Now it really does depend on you what you want to do either carry on and test the rest of the hard ware or redo the install:(

PS Meant to add if you can keep the machine up and running long enough can you run these and post results back? It would be more than helpful

Ok mate sorry late reply have had to be away for a couple of days - the dumps are referring to ntoskrnl.exe and this can be just about anything osft or hardware.
I did notice in your msinfo file a there ar some problem devices - see pic as ai donot not speak ?French I cannot see what the problem is but one is an Ethernet issue ate least.

What thou could do is this as I like to start with the very basic stuff

Using HW Info

PART A:

You can test the volts onthe PSU with HW Info HWiNFO,HWiNFO32/64 - Download <download the right bit version and close the right hand window select Sensorsand scroll down to the power section where you will see what the volts aredoing see my pic. In my pic the section (Nuvoton)with VBATT is a dead give away you are in the section for the rail voltages. There are other section titles and one that pops up often is ITE

Now the voltage on thedifferent rails have to be within 5% =+/- of what is required or the machinewill not work properly if at all.

See this for the railvoltage info

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/power-supply-specifications-atx-reference,3061.html (Section 2.)

The original right handwindow shows the machine running and is handy for that but for looking at thecomponents in some detail close it and use the main left hand side panel

FOR OTHER COMPONENTS

PART B:

Open each small squarewith + in it on the section the components are in and then click on theindividual component/s (it willhighlight in blue) - in the right hand side will appear all sorts of detailsincluding brands speeds and other essential info that particular device. Seepic for example.
