I have been having this issue for about 4 days now. It happens several times a day when I am browsing the internet. The more tabs I have loading the more often it happens. I just reinstalled windows and all my drivers because I thought that might fix it. It just happened again 15 minutes ago so I am reaching out for help.

Ahhhh....my apologies, that's my mistake.

Uninstall the Radeon drivers as normal, then run a Windows Update to install the latest Microsoft signed Radeon driver.

Windows update isn't getting me any Radeon drivers. Should I just get the latest non-beta drivers from the AMD website?

Got another BSOD a few minutes ago. This happened while I was watching a video in 1080p.View attachment 321098

Windows just told me to update my audio drivers, so I did.

A BugCheck A0000001 is inherent in AMD display. Let us see the situation with a known stable version installed.

Uninstall your installed latest version of the display driver.

Then clean up any possible leftover.

Then install version 13.9 WHQL only.

Does it BSOD even with this driver installed? Let us know.

If or not if, do a clean install to 13.9 as suggested. You had the BSOD which is unhealthy.

I did as you said and it's saying it is installed but I cannot play any games(for example BattleField 4 is saying that I am missing display drivers) or use my dual displays properly. I am not so sure that 13.9 is compatible with the R9 290X.

I missed that.

13.9 does not support the R9 products.

Install any other version in that case.

Earliest I can go an still have R9 support is 13.12 Is there a chance at this point that it is one of my cards and not the drivers?

There is.

But I suggested to use another version of driver, just to see if the behavior is the same or not.

13.12 is a very bad driver itself. It fails every off and on. The most stable latest version is 13.9 which does not support in your hardware.

Can you break the CrossFireX and observe the situation with either GPU individually?

Also, sometimes inadequate power supply by the PSU may cause issues to multi-GPU systems. You also need to make it sure that the PSU is supplying adequate power there.

And you also have the opportunity to RMA the GPUs.
