That's all of my system information. The Motherboard, CPU, RAM, and Hard Drive are less than a week old. I upgraded for windows 7 and for some reason when Playing games I am getting BSOD with various errors printed. They change each time. All of the errors are usually preceded with "dx" being the first two letters so I assume it's something to do with my Direct X, however my Video Card is only 6 months old. Also, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGE_AREA error keeps popping up as well.

I have all of the latest drivers for all of my hardware ( so I assume since it's a clean install, and windows update has installed drivers as well ). I have gone to Nvidia site and made sure the video card drivers are correct. I have also gone to EVGA's website for Motherboard drivers for windows 7. Everything seems up to date.

I have run RAM tests to see if my brand new RAM sticks could possibly be faulty, however I got no errors. I even tried taking out one stick and leaving other in, and swapping them out. Either way I still get the BSOD.

To be more specific, sometimes I can play games for hours with no problems, but othertimes within 10 minutes or the game wont even start without BSODing and doing a memory dump.

And unrelated, slightly less annoying problem I also have is that when I am rebooting, my computer will seemingly idle at the Windows is Starting page for about 10 minutes before actually booting windows. I have searched this problem as well and noticed many other people have the same problem.

I am not entirely sure what the problem is and I have troubleshot for hours trying to fix it.

Attached I have all of my minidumps.

The obvious first guess is bad vidcard drivers install. However, if you've eliminated memory as a problem, in most cases that leaves a PSU issue. We need full System Specs to help you.

I'd run Memtest overnight with these kinds of errors happening. See if that picks up on anything.

Also, make sure that your bios is set for the right memory voltage (VDimm and timings) as shown by the RAM manufacturer's site for the specific model.

I provided my full system specs in my original thread. It may not have my PSU, however.

It is a 700 or 750 watt PSU

Okay went into BIOS and my Memory was set at 1.5 volts and it should be 1.65 so I changed that..

If that fixes it, I'll be sure to post. However I am not too sure it will.

So far it still takes 10 minutes to pass the "Starting Windows" screen when booting windows.

Gonig to run Memtest again tonight as well when I go to bed.

I was recently having a similar issue while playing the first game I installed on Windows 7: Crysis Warhead. It seems that W7 might have attempted to install its own drivers from the Windows Update server during or immediately after install. Not knowing this, I carried on with my driver installation routine and thus may have caused some conflicts.

I am suspicious of this because (besides the BSOD citing a DirectX file) Windows 7 had already correctly identified all of my hardware in the device manager before I had installed my drivers and my screen resolution was the full 1650x1080 rather than the default 800x600. My apparent solution was to re-install W7 cleanly but disconnect my ethernet cable while doing so. Windows was forced to use the "Default VGA Driver" on boot and this allowed me to install the latest video drivers from a CD I had burned. There is also an option in "Control Panel>System>Advanced System Settings>Hardware Tab>Device Installation Settings" that allows you to disable that automatic driver download.

If all else fails, the above is always an option. But being that your system is brand new, there could easily be a few other issues to iron out. What games are you testing with?

That is an interesting idea. yea I did notice that I never even needed to use my CD's that came with the software as windwos automatically took care of it. However, some of my hardware does not have official "windows 7" drivers on the installation CD's, and I must go onto the internet to download them. The thing is I am hoping I can fix this issue without rewhiping my hard drive for another time. It takes time to install all of these programs.

The game I primarily am trying to play is called Darkfall. I actually had it happen while playing solitaire today... go figure.

One thing you can try is to uninstall your video card from the Device Manager after you disable the Windows Update driver feature. Restart your system and make sure that "Default VGA Driver" is shown for the driver in the device manager, and then install the latest Win7 driver for your card. Reboot and try Darkfall out. Also make sure that Darkfall is even compatible with Windows 7 (I have no knowledge of that game).

I went into BIOS last night and saw that my CPU core temp was 83 degrees celsiu (I know, not good) so upon further investigation I noticed that my CPU cooler wasn't fully connected to the mobo, so it wasn't completely touching the CPU, causing it to overheat.

I fixed that and I played around on my computer for a few hours last night and I have yet to get a problem, so I will keep you all informed if that simple, stupid mistake of mine was the culprit.

Oh and my PSU: ESP ULTRA 750 Watt ATX Power Supply. I believe it had a fairly good rating when I bought it.

Geezus. Well, I'm glad you found it that issue. HWMonitor is what I use to keep an eye on all my temp sensors. Hope things are smooth sailing from here!

Hi

I have gone thru all the dumps and just copied the tag line to save space. they are all similar as you can see.

newest dump memory corruption bug check 50
next page fault iin non page area=memory nviddmkm, sys
critical object terminated=ntoskrnl bugcheck f4
Memory corruption bug check 50
memory corruption bugcheck 50

The thing is only one of the dmps showed any video involvement. I just have to think there is a memory problem.

What did you use to test the memory? You should use memtestx86 and let it run for hours (preferably overnight)
I would also run a system file check to verify and fix system files
You type cmd in search>right click and run as admin> SFC /SCANNOW
Let us know the results

You may also be having a heat issue so I would get an app to mionitor the temps
If you are overclocking STOP
If you have a raid update the driver
If you get more BSOD's upload the dmp for us

Hope this helps

Ken J

Alright so my temperatures have been under control since fully reattached my CPU heatsink.

I have a monitor running for my GPU and CPU, and Mobo, and they're all fine running under 50C consistently.

I also did run the memtest program again this past weekend and it returned that there ARE errors with my memory. So I took out one stick, and no blue screens since.

Now I am working with Manufacturer of ram to send me new RAM. Annoying because this is brand spanking new RAM to begin with. Just pulled out of package.

Thanks for the help everyone.
