Hello everyone,

I build a new system about 6 months ago.

Started having BSOD problems about a month ago.

Not exactly sure what the problem is so I am seeking some help.

Attached is a crash dump file.

I have checked a few crash dump files previously and mentioned the errors mentioned in the title in the probably caused by line.

The BSOD only happens when idle. It never happens if i am using the computer regularly or if I have a torrent running.

Any help is appreciated.

If you need the system specs. I will post them once I get home from work tonight.

Thanks,

  • Click on the :orb:
  • Type CMD on Search
  • Left click and Run as Administrator
  • Type SFC /scannow - read here
Run Disk Check on your Hard Drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it - read here

Follow these-
Get rid of intel rapid storage.
  1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  2. It will open the "computer management" window.
  3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.

Hello all,

I'm still having an issue when the computer goes into sleep mode. I have done everything all the fixes as instructed above.

I currently have turned never go into sleep mode but was wondering if there is a fix for this issue.

Everything seems fine when it's working and even idle. But when it attempts to go into sleep mode, it would crash and restart the computer.

Any ideas?

Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus and Display Fusion.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept then restart.
Please care to uninstall Virtual Colne Drive.
Code:
Name Virtual CloneDrive
Manufacturer Elaborate Bytes AG
Status OK
PNP Device ID ROOT\SCSIADAPTER\0000
Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\vclone.sys (5.4.3.5, 35.50 KB (36,352 bytes), 8/9/2009 5:25 PM)
And, do one more thing. Disconnect the 640 GB WD external HDD (H Drive there).

After doing these two, put it back to sleep. Does it problem again?

If so, Disable USB Selective Suspend and put the computer to sleep again. What is the situation now?

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+

Actually, it happened again...

Even trying it to put it into sleep mode gives problems. Becomes non-responsive...

Same situation as before, when idle and goes into sleep mode. But this time, it was more of a crash. It was set to reboot if it encounters BSOD but this time, it just froze and i can't wake it up. Had to push the power button to shut off and restart.

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

Sunny

Hm, Thanks Arc.

I'll try that.

Really hope I don't have to do a clean install ><;
