BSOD while laptop is idle

Hi all. Was browsing the internet earlier today and got the BSOD. It keeps coming back after around 5 mins of the laptop being turned back on and being left idle. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your dump logging is enabled.

1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click System.
3. Click the Advanced tab, and then click Settings under Startup and Recovery.
4. Check Write an even to the system log, and Automatically restart.
5. In the Write debugging information list, click Small memory dump (256k).

Location of Dumps:
C:\Windows\minidump

Do you get BSOD in safe mode?

Uninstall this software.

Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy 2	Public

Revo Uninstaller:

Use Revo Uninstaller to uninstall stubborn software.

• Download and install the software
• Opt for Advance Mode while uninstalling which allows you to remove leftover registry.
• Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

I haven't had any yet on safe mode but I may not of been on there for long enough for it to happen. So I'm guessing spybot is one of the culprits at the moment then? I shall remove it and see what happens. I did get a different BSOD last night as well so I will try and get an updated zip uploaded here. Thanks again.

I have uninstalled Spybot now and cleared the registry etc. The laptop has now been on for over an hour and has not crashed in any way or form. Hopefully it will stay like this now. I have used Spybot for a few years now and never had a problem so I will look for a similar program now I think. Thanks very much for your help and hopefully I won't need to return to this thread

Hi guys. The issue is still not sorted. I was thinking of recovering my laptop to its factory state and downloading some of the programs that i have again. Would this cure my problem or would an error somewhere still exist in the system?

I have set my system settings to the way you told me but when i run dm collector its saying it cant find any dump files. I have a new file so hopefully it now says something
