Hi all and welcome to my first post.

Having never received a blue screen (officially known as stop errors) before on my current machine, I came back to my computer after being out and discovered an stop error had occurred.

The error/bug check code is 0x0000007a (kernal data inpage error).

My system specs are 16GB 1330Mhz DDR3 RAM, i7 3770 CPU, Nvidia Geforce GT630 graphics card, 2TB HDD, MSI-B75MA-P45 mother board, Windows 7 Ultimate x64

It is also worth mentioning that my computer was doing updates last night (12/09/14) as I was shutting it down for the night and froze on one of the 9 updates (May have been more, but only 9 updates listed for the 12/09/14) , so I had to unplug it. The updates were KB2883062, KB2881082, KB2863843, KB2883066, KB2889860, KB2982378, KB2973112 , KB2977728, KB2952664

I also installed Word and Excel password recovery wizzard (version 2.1.15) on the 8th, although that's the only change to my system recently.

I have also attached my zip file below from the SF diagnostic tool what includes the dump file that I have.

Any help much appreciated

Let me try to explain what has happened here, a boot sector defrag or update has overwritten your boot files.

At least thats what i think, so here is how we can fix it.

Boot up with your Win 7 DVD and get to the command prompt and type (without the "- "):
- c:
- bootsect /fixmbr
- bootsect /fixboot

I am having no trouble booting and has not happened again since. Should I ignore the situation if it does not happen again?
