Solved BSOD while playing BF3

Hi. Thanks for replying. My blue screens seemed to have stopped after I uninstalled hamachi, but now, I believe my video card/GPU is crashing. When playing, BF3 freezes up, makes my screen flicker, and a brief error message that I don't have enough time to read pops up, before going completely black and requiring a hard reboot. I have a theory that it may be overheating, due to the fact that it happens after long periods of playing, but I'm not completely sure. Any help with that? Thanks.

That's a regular scenario. It happens irrespective of everything is good. I guess the developer of the game will be able to help you the best with it. May be some tweaking with the settings of some patches.

Form your part, Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

Is the computer hot? Report us the heat of the computer after a couple of hours of your normal usage. Upload a screenshot of the summery tab of Speccy.

Make it sure that your display driver is up to date.

Hi, Arc. Thanks for replying. After I updated all my drivers and put my games at optimal settings, I started up Battlefield 3. After only 15 minutes, I noticed some serious heat changes within the graphics cards.

2048MB GeForce GTX 690 (EVGA) #1 was around 40-45 °C
2048MB GeForce GTX 690 (EVGA) #2 was the one that surprised me most - It had a very noticeable difference compared to the others, with a steady 72-76 °C
2048MB GeForce GTX 690 (EVGA) #3 was around 30-37 °C
2048MB GeForce GTX 690 (EVGA) #4 was a steady 32-35 °C

Why was #2 the one that took the most heat? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is safe to say that it is failing.

So, is there anything I can do about this? I guess the best thing to do would be to increase the ventilation, correct?

And to make it sure that the fans of the GPU is working properly. If not, replace the GPU.
