BSOD while trying to install Windows 7 64-bit

Hello,

I am having some difficulties while trying to download Windows 7 64-bit Home Edition. Currently, I have Windows 7 32-bit Home Edition on my machine. I loaded the Windows 7 64-bit CD into the DVD ROM and select the option to boot from CD. Well, initially I get the "Windows is Loading Files" screen, and then after it loads the files, it goes to the "Starting Windows" screen (for maybe 2 seconds, freezes) and that's when I get the BSOD.

Error Message -
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check to be sure you have adequate disk space. If a driver is identified in the Stop message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates. Try changing video adapters.

Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing. If you need to use safe mode to remove or disable components, restart your computer, press F8 to select Advanced Startup Options, and then select Safe Mode.

This is the error message I keep receiving. I have read a few things online to try out and none of them worked. Here is everything that I have done so far -

1) I read online to try and remove third party drivers. I uninstalled (and literally removed from my computer) my graphics card (EVGA GeForce GTX 650). I also uninstalled my drivers for my Razor keyboard.

2) I have removed almost every application off of my computer (I'm not worried about backing up files - nothing important was on it and I was planning on reinstalling everything anyways. So if there is just a way to scrub my whole hard drive....let me know).

3) I updated my BIOS.

4) I ran a Windows Memory Test and I received no errors.

5) I read online that RAM could be causing this issue (not sure if its true or not) but I removed one of my sticks of ram (Had 8GB in it, removed a stick, now I have 4GB).

I've spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this out and researching things online..but no luck. Hopefully someone out there has some good tips/advice for me? Is so..please share. Thanks!

Win7 32 bits is runnig fine? If so, it's very unlinlike you have disk or memory errors. It's not a driver problem... it isn't installing yet!

Are you really booting from DVD???
