Hi everyone, first time poster here

I was running youtube on chrome with a couple other tabs open, itunes, and a few pdfs in adobe.
The BSOD occurred when I returned to the tab with youtube.

After restart, the files that help describe the problem are
C:\Windows\Minidump\052614-60013-01.dmp
C:\Users\Richard\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-99809-0.sysdata.xml

Dump files are attached (I hope I did it right)
Any ideas what could have triggered the BSOD?

Thanks!

Manually initiated crashes...

Strange, have you set the CrashOnCtrlScroll registry up?

I have noticed this though.

Code:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\NETwNs64.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for NETwNs64.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for [COLOR="Red"]NETwNs64.sys[/COLOR]

The driver being flagged is the Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 5000 Series Adapter Driver.

Code:

start end module name

    Loaded symbol image file: NETwNs64.sys

It's out of date, update it here.

It could be a possible virus infection.

Use Kaspersky's TDSSKiller Anti Rootkit utility

Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

Run a scan with your normal Anti Virus and Malwarebytes.

   Tip

Make sure you don't enable the free trial of malwarebytes pro, when asked make sure you deselect the option.

Thanks for the quick reply,
I did all the things you recommended (update drivers, run kaspersky, malawarebytes). What is CrashOnCtrlScroll?

Kaspersky TDSSKiller didn't turn any results, but Malawarebytes found a surprising number of problems. They're all currently sitting in quarantine.

Attached are the dump files and the results of Malawarebytes

Those are a lot of entries.
Try this.

Run a Disk Check to scan for errors

   Note

Afterwards go into an Elevated Command Prompt (Run as administrator) and type in sfc /scannow
If it finds errors reboot and run the scan two more times

As an answer to your question CrashOnCtrlScroll is a registry entry that you have to activate that generates a BSOD when you hold Right Ctrl and double tap Scroll Lock.
But I realized that it's not a combination that you can accidentally press so that doesn't matter.

Just ran the check disk and the sfc/scannow, and both found no problems

Ok good.

Have you had any more BSOD since?
If so upload the dump files.

They aren't necessary if you haven't had any more crashes.
Upload any new dump files if you are still getting crashes.
