It kinda came out of no where and it was very unexpected both times it happened. Both applications use a lot of memory so that might be the issue? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a studio with Sonar X3 64 bit Producer.

I haven't looked at your debug file, as I probably couldn't really understand it anyway.

My system is an i7 3770 CPU and 16GB of RAM and although I'm rarely on line when I'm using Sonar, I haven't had any crashes. Normally, when I'm using Sonar, I disable the network card, as I've had some dropout and click problems with it enabled. The DPC latency checker shows no problems either way (on or off line) but to avoid problems I now always disable the network. My interface is a Roland Octa-Capture (USB). My previous unit was a Saffire Pro 40 and I get much better latency (4 to 6 ms range versus 11 ms with the Saffire Pro 40) with the Octa Capture.

Yeah I'm using the Pro 24 actually. Great unit but being that it's firewire I get mix ups with the IRQs. With my last motherboard the firewire and graphics card were on the same IRQ. I've since changed my motherboard and bought a firewire card but I can't help but think that getting a USB interface would make things a little more hassle free.

My system is using 12gb of ram and I'm using a FX8350 so I have plenty of power to run projects as well. Sonar does seem to lock up whenever I run a project with lots of tracks but I think that might be a plugin issue.

Although I liked the Saffire Pro 40's preamps, it died, out of warranty, and the estimate to fix it was within $50 of what I paid for it new. I had some problems with the Saffire Pro 40 and Firewire, even though I had the desired T.I. Firewire Chipset in the PC. I dumped Firewire for USB and will never consider another Firewire device (although Firewire is not as popular as it once was).
