BSOD while uTorrent uploading files:

What I have done:
Was advised in a different forum that the cause was my network adapter driver.
Went to Intel website, updated driver.
Network adapter now as follows:

Intel(R) 82578DC Gigabit Network Conection
Driver: 11.16.87.0

Ran uTorrent again...BSOD again...

Have run SF_Diagnostic_Tool.exe

Several dump files are listed in F_Diagnostic_Tool.exe zip file attached...

ONLY the latest dump dated 3/31/2013 7:45 is the dump from after updating the network adapter.

Hello Weeha.

Apparently it is a network blockage, The BSOD is overall caused by NETIO.sys, a network driver which is an OS element. So it cannot be the actual cause of the crash. The real reason should be something else.

Here the Intel(R) 82578DC Gigabit Network Connection driver is failing.

Try to find any possible driver update in Intel Download Center

Do you use Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client? If so, update it from Cisco Systems, Inc, otherwise uninstall it.

Free up the startup.

1. Click on the Start button
2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
3. Select the “Startup” tab.
4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
5. Apply > OK
6. Accept then restart.

Update the BIOS.

All MAY be fixed now...
Seems the issue was some left over Norton crap...
Details below:


I have been running uTorrent under very heavy load for a few hours and it has been stable.
Here is what I found:

Went to Intel website, updated driver.
Network adapter now as follows:

BUT I STILL had an issue after the driver update...

So...
A suggestion I found (I cannot find it again) said to run the Norton removal tool...
i DID have Norton on this computer long ago and removed it...
BUT...
Norton is the type of program that keeps on giving even when it is gone.
So...
I ran the Norton removal tool available here:

So far so good...
Then I rebooted and kept getting strange sounds from the computer...
Seems the Norton removal tool is bugged as well...
The sound I was hearing is "Device Failed To Connect"

Now I had to do this:

Just updated to 19.1.1.3, but I had to use the Norton removal/reinstall tool as there was no way I could get it update to get the toolbar addon for Firefox 7 working. After that everything is fine with Firefox toolbar.

Then I noticed at computer startup that I was getting some strange sound that would repeat about 3 times after the computer had booted to the desktop. After checking out the various Microsoft sounds I found it was the sound for "Device Failed to Connect".
Looking through these forums I found references to the same problem, but no solutions.

Then searching on the internet I came across a reference that said the Norton removal tool can damage the registry, and indeed as the article states I had the little yellow marks against "portable devices" F, G, H, I in the device manager.

Under device manager all the portable devices had a yellow mark.
I deleted them all...
Reboot brought them all back without the yellow mark...
