Solved BSOD Whilst normal usage on my Netbook running Windows 8.

My Netbook(Acer Aspire One) running Windows 8 pro 32bit crashes during normal usage. I have even tried re-installing and refreshing Windows but it crashes with an error : UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP. Error Code: 0x1000007f.

I have download all the drives from the manufacturers website which were for Windows 7 as Windows 8 drivers are not yet available.

The same Netbook which came pre installed with windows 7 has never crashed yet when running Win 7.

Can anyone please help me out? I have attached the required mini dump and other files generated using SF_Diagnostic_Tool.

Uninstall Avast! It can be responsible for networking crashes like yours. Use Microsoft Security Essentials instead.

Update/Reinstall the following drivers in this method:
Click on the Start rb: ► Control Panel ► Programs ► Uninstall a program ► Uninstall everything related to; Connectify NDIS and Realtek 8136/8168/8169 PCI/PCIe Adapters.

- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

Thanks for stopping by and for the quick reply, will try out you told and revert back.

P.S. - I guess we cannot install MSE on Windows 8, it has it inbuilt in the form of Windows Defender. Will search for another alternative.

Windows Defender is a spyware program. It works well aside MSE.

Thank you so much for the help and support, my netbook hasn't crashed yet after I followed your instructions, I guess the connectify driver was screwing up things for me. I haven't uninstalled Avast though, its perfectly working fine.
