Hello,

As of recently I have been having issues with BSOD's. Up to this point I have only had it happen to me twice, but I would still like to fix this issue so that it does not happen anymore. The first BSOD was about two weeks ago or so, and I just got another one today. Both times the exact same thing came up on the screen, and after reveiwing the minidump file with bluescreen viewer, I found out the problem was in the win32k.sys file. Other than this, I really do not know what to do. I have looked in different topics throughout different forums, and each one says something different, so I figured I would try to get some help here.

The system I am using is a Sony VAIO notebook, only 3 months old and it is running windows 7 home premium x64 (pre-installed). One thing that I repeatedly came across was the suggestion of using memtest to help solve the issue, but as I understand you need a blank disc to do this am I correct? If so, I do not have any. One of the main problems is that I am off at school, and do not have installation discs with me right now, so I am hoping I am not going to need to uninstall something like my mouse or whatever, because I would need to wait a little bit in order to re-install it.

Anyways, sorry for the jumbled information, I hope that someone is able to help me out here. I have attached the zip file below.

OK You are going to have to run memtest but it can also be run from a bootible Flash drive.

You are also going to need to update the 2007 driver and figure out what the driver with the chinese characters are

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads
