Hi Guys,

My computer keeps on getting BSOD's every so often and I haven't been able to fix it.

Is there anything you could see that might be the cause?

I've attached the reports.

Thanks!

Run Driver Verifier to scan for any corrupted drivers which may be causing problems, this program works by running various stress tests on drivers, in order to produce a BSOD which will locate the driver; run for least 24 hours:

I've enabled driver verifier, will check to see what happens.

Hi guys,

I had another BSOD but for some reason it did not go into C:/Windows/Minidump so I can't show it.

I've also uploaded the .nfo file, thanks!

Make sure it a Minidump has been configured:
Reduce the number of programs at startup, to avoid any driver or program conflicts:
Update BIOS (if possible):

Code:
American Megatrends Inc. 0802, [COLOR="Red"]24/08/2010[/COLOR]

Update your System Specifications with Speccy, and then copy this information into your System Specifications: Go to your UserCP, and then select Edit System Spec in the left pane. Copy the information from Speccy into the required fields. These System Specifications will then follow your every post.

Got another BSOD/dump as well.

Cheers for the help :)

Your graphics driver seems to be causing some problems, roll back to the WHQL driver, by using these instructions:
  1. Download Driver
  2. Start :orb: Type: Device Manager
  3. Expand Display Adapters
  4. Right-Click Driver Name, Uninstall
  5. Reboot
  6. Run Driver Sweeper
  7. Reboot
  8. Install Downloaded Driver
Driver Sweeper will scan for any left over files from the old driver, old driver files can cause conflicts with new driver installations. Create a System Restore point beforehand, in case any problems or issues arise.

In theory, the latest WHQL driver, should be the most stable driver since it has been tested by Microsoft, but let's hope it's resolved the problem.

memory_corruption doesn't necessary mean that a RAM module is faulty, it can also point to a object which corrupted the RAM at the time of the crash, for instance a corrupted driver or program. Paging files and the CPU caches can also be causes.

Run some hard-drive diagnostics and follow these steps:
Find your hard-drive manufacturer and run their tests.

If you have an SSD, make sure the following are up to date:
  • SSD firmware
  • BIOS Version
  • Chipset Drivers
  • Hard disk controller drivers/SATA drivers
  • If you have a Marvell IDE ATA/ATAPI device, make sure the drivers are up to date from the Intel site or Marvell site and not from your motherboard/vendor support site.

Check for any file system errors and bad sectors using Option #2 of:
Use this command with Disk Check:

Code:
chkdsk C: /f /r

Hi,

I don't think the RAM is corrupted; I ran memtest86+ with multiple passes and it declared that nothing was wrong.

I have also checked my HDD's before using chkdsk and seatools a few months ago, but I'll try again.

Here's the crystaldiskinfo:

Your S.M.A.R.T readings seem to be fine, and how many passes did you run MemTest for?

Hi there,

Sorry I haven't replied, I don't remember how many passes but it was for a day or so.

I've upgraded to windows 8 pro (hope that's not a problem) and I've attached some more BSOD dumps.

Cheers,

Jordan

The above extension checks for errors with the modules of files and drivers stored within the RAM.

-->Memory:
Run Memtest86+ for least 7-8 passes, and preferably overnight as it can take a while to fully complete.

Test each RAM stick individually, if an error is found then move the same RAM stick into the next DIMM slot and test again, if errors are found for the same RAM stick in every available slot then you have a faulty RAM module. On the other hand, if no errors are found in the next slot or the other slots for the same RAM module, then you have a faulty DIMM slot.

Test each RAM stick and every motherboard DIMM slot available.

-->What are the results of the hard-drive tests?

Hi,

I did as you said, and have no problems with the RAM after 7 passes.

The hdds (using seagate tools) were absolutely fine.

I've also more dumps so hopefully they will help!

Cheers :)

hi,

I've been having some BSODs in the last day or 2, and I've had a couple of different errors, mainly DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

I have a Clevo w35_37ET with windows 7 ultimate x64, but i'm not very familiar with this type of errors, any help would be welcome. Thanks!
