Hey guys, I keep getting BSOD and I'm not sure how to do this so I'll post the DMG files (sorry I had to use winRAR).

Interesting to note I keep getting dsklhost.exe unable to load at startup so I don't know if that has anything to do w/ it but it correlates to the same time the BSOD started happening more frequently.

this file shows this is a very common problem and there is no specific solution for this problem because there are too many reasons caused this kind of situation, what you are sopposed to do is check the hardware one by one

These crashes are blamed on windows 7 OS files, but I strongly suspect that your problem is being caused by the old drivers listed below. The ASACPI.sys is dated 2005 and is a known cause of all sorts of hardware problems and crashes.

Remedies
1-Update all the drivers especially the ASACPI.SYS (update to the 2010 version).

ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

2-Run a system file check

Run a system file check to verify and repair your system files.
To do this type cmd in search, then right click to run as administrator, then
SFC /SCANNOW

read here for more information http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html

Let us know the results from the report at the end.

Ken

Hey guys, I keep getting BSOD and I'm not sure how to do this so I'll post the DMG files (sorry I had to use winRAR).

Interesting to note I keep getting dsklhost.exe unable to load at startup so I don't know if that has anything to do w/ it but it correlates to the same time the BSOD started happening more frequently.

dsklhost.exe is the desktop shark keylogger. Look for a folder C:\ds, that's the default location though whoever installed it may have put it somewhere else. The default password to the console is 'desktopshark', just type that anywhere without backspacing or pressing other keys. The person who installed it may have changed the password, though if you're getting that error it means the keylogger isn't loading. Look for evidence of the installation - search for "desktop shark.exe" (with the space) or dsklhost.exe.

Good luck.

Chris
