Hi, This is my first time using any forum but I really need help to resolve this problem.
I'm a pc noob of some sort, I've recently bought a budget gaming pc and I'm upgrading it part by part.

Current System Spec:

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T
4GB DDR3
ASROCK N68C-S UCC
Corsair TX 750
ATI 6970 2GB

Alot of these parts are pretty new less than 6 months old, the system was working with this hardware fine for about a month or so then I started getting BSOD while playing BF3 on ultra settings only when I turned my settings down to medium I was able to play for longer.

But now the BSOD has gotten worse and I now get it while on the desktop, listening to music on media player and watching youtube videos.

My first thought as a noob/novice was to reinstall windows so I changed my OS from windows ultimate x64 to windows ultimate 32x but the problem persist.

I know how to find c:/windows/minidumps but for some reason when I go to attach the DMP files here it won't let me, it says you do not have permission to open this file even though I'm the only administrator on my system.

Check your CPU temps with Core Temp

Let us know the temps at idle and underload.
You max temp should be under 62°C.

Ok, Thanks for the response's I haven't been able to get on to check because of this problem! I'll download core temp tonight and see what temperatures I'm getting at idle and while using some cpu intensive software and report back here as soon as possible.

If it is a heat problem I don't really mind because I'm in the middle of up grading to watercooling!

Wow, I just installed core temp like five minutes after my last post, ran it and my cpu temp was at 27C left my pc there for 10 or so minutes the temp reached 31C and BSOD. I don't think it would be overheating at such a low temperature would it?

I underclock my cpu any way to 800Mhz and it seems to run for alot longer, Do you think there could be a technical fault with my processor?

Update! I've been playing around with the clock speeds on my processors and now I have it running at 3.0GHz which is only 200Mhz lower that it's stock frequency, I also disabled turbo mode in the bios and crashes seem to have stopped for now.

Update! I did have 1 more crash but this one was different than the ones I was getting before, A little notification popped up on the right hand side of my start bar and said "Your display driver has stopped responding" 3-4 seconds after that I had a BSOD.

I already have the lastest ATI/AMD Display drivers, Should I do a roll back and use a older version?

Have you followed this good advise?

Please confirm and note the steps you have taken.

Your idle temps are fine.

I have done all the steps from that page!
Downloaded all the lastest drivers.
Updated bios.
Tested Graphics with furmark.
Tested cpu with prime95.
Tested ram and HDDs with windows.

As said above I've replaced the graphics and ram and I'm still getting the problem.
Only thing that seems to help really is underclocking it but that's not a 100% fix!

Here's what I get decoding the MCI status register:

1011 0110 0100 1010 1010 0000 0000 0000 . 0100 0001 0000 0000 0000 0001 0011 0101

From this, it appears to be a cache bus error. ??? Maybe caused by FSB timing. I would seriously be looking at the power supply. If possible, swap a known good unit. Or at least return the BIOS to all default voltage settings and monitor CPU voltages.

Post your system specs too.

What power supply are you using? (Make and model specific.)

I've only recently upgraded my power supply from a 620W to a Corsair 750TX - 750W.
Had this PSU for little over a month, bought brand new.

I only uninstalled the drivers! I did not use driver sweeper. Do you think that using driver sweeper would make a difference or is it just more hassle? If you think it'll make a difference I'll uninstall all drivers and use driver sweeper in safe mode to delete the remnants before I reinstall.

Let me know guys!
