hardware - bfg680i,q9550 4 core processor,4gig mem running win7
it gets bsod after about 10 minutes or so but only when running with 3-4 cores running.Run just 2 cores nad it is fine.Tried reloading windows but get throught installing partway and crashes again only with more then 2 cores running. Installs fine with just 2 cores.Reflashed motherboard to most current bios so that I could run this 4core as before I only ran a 2 core processor..BFG says that this q9550 is compatible with there board with current bios.I have provided a dmp below for help diagnosing this problem.I do have another q9550 to possibly try out it the mini dump points in that direction.Memory has passed MEMTEST.
Thank you for your help

Snapmit, can you upload the .dmp file? Just copy it from the minidump folder and zip it up. That is unreadable.

Also, this may be either a heat problem or incompatible BIOS. Make sure that your temps are reasonable.

Think I have similar problem

I have a similar problem where if I try to use cores 3 and/or 4 I get BSOD at windows login.
Have you confirmed if its a problem with running 3 or more cores or specifically with cores 3 or 4? ie have you tried core 1 and core 3 only, or core 1 and core 4.

What I found in my case was that 680i boards do no support 45nm processors only 65nm chips.BFG was incorrect in telling me it would work in there board. It did work but only if I had no more then 2 turned on it did not matter which cores. I bought a 65nm quad core extreme and it functioned fine. Then I took the 9550 and installed it in a new board (Asus 790i board) that does support 45nm processors and the processor worked fine . So the whole time it was a matter of incompatible hardware.
