Solved BSOD with BAD_POOL_HEADER while computer inactive

My Windows 7 64bit PC crashes periodically. Sometimes I get BSOD, and other times it reboots. Most often this happens while it is sitting inactive (but not asleep). The ZIP file from last night, 11-08-12 is attached. The BSOD said BAD_POOL_HEADER. The files saved with SF Diagnostic Tool is attached. Can anyone see what might be the problem? Thanks.

McAfee is often a cause of BSOD-s. I'd suggest uninstalling it and use Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.

1. McAfee Removal Tool - McAfee Uninstaller
2. Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows

Make a full scan with MSE.​

Run these tools and delete anything they find:

• Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller

ESET online scanner:

• Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

Run the System File Checker that scans the of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Run Disk Check on your hard disk for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Free up the start-up, nothing except the antivirus is usually needed.
