Hi guys,

I'm hoping to get some advice since I've run out of ideas. I called MSI today and they couldn't really help me. Told me to wait a few more days and to send the laptop back if I continue to experience the BSOD. The guy there seemed to believe it was a problem with D3 and not my hardware and just had me add the game to my nvidia control panel (3d settings). I've had about a dozen BSOD since the 7th. The most common error message is memory management, I've also received bad pool header and IRQL not less or equal. Here are the files:

This laptop is fairly new, purchased last November. I tend to get the crashes playing D3. When I try to restart the laptop normally after a BSOD sometimes it crashes repeatedly as well. I have tried chkdsk, windows memory scan, and sfc scannow. Nothing shows up. I have also reinstalled D3, reverted to a more stable GPU driver and I'm still getting problems. I suspect there's something wrong with my RAM and something needs to be replaced. I'm planning on running memtest86 after I find a CD to burn the iso file onto.

Thanks for any help! It's much appreciated.

Hi Kari,

Thanks for the information on memtest. I was able to get it running for around 6 hours and it caught over a million errors. Unfortunately I don't know how to share the results...are they stored anywhere on the computer after testing? I'm also worried about testing each stick per the instructions because I might void my warranty if I do so. I'm guessing my next step is to send it to MSI or the reseller for repairs.

I think it's a wise decision not to void your warranty. Don't worry about posting the results, just get your computer to MSI warranty repair as soon as possible.

Don't do anything to your computer that might void the warranty; you paid dearly for it. Use it.
