Solved BSOD with games/idle/logging into windows, 0x0000007a/f4, have dumps

So first I'd like to say I've been having these blue screens for awhile. At first it was just with games, then I started to have my computer freeze one application at a time and never unfreeze. Sometimes my windows explorer simply freezes and disappears. I had originally done a memtest and ran other appropriate tests on my SSD/HD, and ended up reinstalling my OS entirely as nothing looked wrong. For a few weeks it was perfectly fine, now its gotten to where if I don't blue screen idling I will blue screen playing something. Despite the amount of BSOD's I've had, I only have the 3 dump files to work with. I'm leaning towards replacing my ssd/ram entirely, but I'd like to avoid that if possible. I followed the guide for BSOD posting instructions but if I've left something out I'll fix it asap.

edit: I forgot to mention as well 9/10 times after I blue screen after rebooting I get a message saying no boot device is detected. To get around it I have to cut all power to my pc, unplug my hd, reboot with just my ssd plugged in and then turn off and re-plug my hd back in.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

  1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
  2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
    • Double click the executable to open it
    • Click on the button shown below

34700d1440923396-bsod-0x124-whea_uncorrectable_error-nothing-works-a887c9d9e7.png

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

   Warning
Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Tweakbit, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

   Note
I do not know a way to find out what drivers have been installed with this program

Diagnostics Test

 HDD TEST

arrow.png
Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/313457-seatools-dos-windows-how-use.html

   Note
Do not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.

arrow.png
Run chkdsk http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/433-disk-check.html

arrow.png
Run HDTune to scan for errors, health and benchmark.
Let me know what the results are, prefered screenshots.

There are Input/Output errors, meaning the data can't be read from the hard drive.
This can be due to a faulty/failing hard drive
Code:
KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
[COLOR="Red"]If the error status is [U]0xC000000E[/U], 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.[/COLOR]
If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffff6fb400000e8, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: ffffffff[COLOR="red"][U]c000000e[/U], error status (normally i/o status code)[/COLOR]
Arg3: 00000001fbe10884, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: fffff6800001d000, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

Code:
CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION (f4)
A process or thread crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been
terminated.
Several processes and threads are necessary for the operation of the
system; when they are terminated (for any reason), the system can no
longer function.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000003, Process
Arg2: fffffa800b3dc060, Terminating object
Arg3: fffffa800b3dc340, Process image file name

Tweakbits wasn't my doing so I have no idea what it installed besides an audio driver. But it was installed maybe a week ago, these blue screens have been happening for over a month. I don't have a restore point either.

Daemon tools is removed, I did a chkdsk, took a bit but it just ran normally. I uploaded screenshots of my ssd's Tune scans, doing my HDD at the moment.

Yeah, the chkdsk took a lot longer but it just ran normally. Yesterday I reseated them, which I can again to be safe. I haven't crashed in a day so far.

Scratch that, while idling I just crashed again. Everything starting with windows 7 started to close followed by 0x000000f4 BSOD again. No dump file was produced.

Diagnostics Test

 System File Check

Please try following:
  • Open an admin command prompt
  • Copy/paste "sfc/scannow" (without quotes) and press enter
  • When it finished reboot your system
  • Open again an admin command prompt
  • Enter sfc/scannow again
If sfc/scannow does NOT say "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation", please upload the cbs.log file located at {windows partition}\Windows\Logs\CBS\, if the file is too large try a 3rd party uploader like dropbox, onedrive, google drive, mediafire etc.
System File Check(SFC a.k.a. Windows Resource Protection) needs to have your system rebooted in order for sfc to try to fix the problems that it finds.

The first scan found corrupted files, rebooted, second scan said it didn't find any integrity violation. Not sure if its related, but after the reboot a custom windows theme I had was removed entirely.

Blue screened again, 0x0000007a, this time I decided to try launching a game.

Just to note, I am and have suggested a few things that are usually causing the crashes.
This because the 0xF4 and 0x7A you have had, usually doesn't reveal much for me to really pinpoint the cause.

Diagnostics Test

 Malware scan

Please run a threat scan with Malwarebytes*, a full scan with your AV, scan your system with Adwcleaner, Kaspersky TTDSKiller, ESET Online Scanner and SuperAntiSpyware
   Note
*(Uncheck trial version in the installation process)

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Right, I was just saying what the stop error was incase it would help. I've removed everything you noted was a potential cause minus the drivers installed via Tweakbits since I have no idea which it updated outside one audio, which I removed. At this point do you think it'd work to just replace my ssd/hd/ram?

I think it would be worth it as a rush choice that could be a waste of money.

No, I don't think it would be worth it to replace them. What if the crashes persist after replacing them? Replacing the motherboard, PSU and everything else?

My point: please don't (yet) replace anything that is not for sure the cause, because the risk that it is a waste of money would be great.

I am only suggesting things out of my experience with debugging, but I have no other lead.
Please try running the tests and see how it goes.

Its more just in case it keeps persisting assuming the above tests don't show anything at fault. I'll post back once the memtest is done.

If the above tests don't give any results, there are other things to try ;) But it would depend mainly on what stop codes you get.

When you get another BSOD, it is requested to run the DM Log Collector tool and upload the zip file. Also please give some description of what you were doing and what happened

Alright so I ran all the cleaners, restarted after they finished and tried to launch a game. I didn't blue screen but it closed followed by everything I had open giving me an error box until it was all closed. Then I ran the memtest, 8 passes with no errors. I restarted and tried launching a different game, and the same happened followed by a bluescreen that didn't provide a dump, but was 0x0000007a. I had to unplug my HD again and decided to leave it unplugged and haven't had any crashes of any kind since.

Also prior to this, my blue screens have happened while in a game, idling, and even a few times logging into windows.

Sounds like a faulty HDD even after the test results.

Yeah I don't know. Before when I tried this I didn't have much on my ssd to try while I had it unplugged. This time I moved the game that was causing me crashes to my ssd. I'll post again in a day or so depending on if I crash at all.

With just the ssd plugged in roughly 4 minutes after launching fallout 4 I blue screened. Same 7a as before, no dump was produced. After restarting, my computer said I didn't have a boot device enabled even after started. I had to plug my hd back, restart, then reset and unplug the hd for the ssd to be recognized again.

Tried running it with the hd plugged in. I got an error after it crashed and everything else froze instead of blue screening. 'The exception integer division by zero. 0x0000094 occured in the application at location 0x0077ab2233'. I know it isn't a blue screen but if I don't blue screen that's what shows up.

edit a third time: This time upon crashing with no games open, I got a disk read error trying to restart. After restarting, I was brought to a screen from my mobo saying S.M.A.R.T status bad, backup next to my SSD.
