Hi all,

Not my PC this is erroring on it's my Dads, got all the dump info via teamviewer and from the best of my knowledge it happens on its own with no underlying cause.

All I know is it's getting a "Stop 0x0000001E" error, sadly this is the best I can do on information, I've attached a dump file for assistance.

Welcome

Could you also upload the msinfo file?
To get this:

  • Click on the Start :orb:
  • Type msinfo32 into the Search programs and files box
  • When it opens, go to File, Save
  • Save as msinfo32.nfo and save in a place you will remember
  • Let it finish the process of gathering and saving the system info
  • Right click the .nfo file, click send to compressed (zipped) folder
  • Upload the .zip file here.

The dad's graphic card drivers need updating, follow this method:

  1. Download and install Driver Sweeper:
    |MG| Driver Fusion (Driver Sweeper) 1.2.0 Download
  2. Download the auto-detect tool for AMD.
    AMD Driver Autodetect
  3. Boot into Safe Mode from Advanced Boot Options:
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/666-advanced-boot-options.html
  4. Type in Driver Fusion in Search
  5. Remove all drivers
  6. Boot normally now, and install the latest drivers from the
    auto-detect program you downloaded.

Code:

Try and check for latest motherboard/chipset drivers:
Download Center - Intel

Please uninstall kaspersky, it's known to cause BSoDs on some systems
Use Microsoft Security Essentials (at least to test)
Make a full scan once installed and updated
Run this tool and delete anything it finds:

Run the System File Checker that scans the integrity of all protected Windows 7 system files and replaces incorrect corrupted, changed/modified, or damaged versions with the correct versions if possible:

Look for an update on the BIOS version:
Code:
BIOS Version/Date American Megatrends Inc. V3.4, 20/10/2008

Does it matter that the system has had Kaspersky on it for around 2 years with no issues before?

Also I can't update the BIOS as I'm currently 4 hours away from my dad's pc, so I only can do things via teamviewer

I've mentioned "(at least to test)" on my post.
Anyway, no it does not matter.

Do the update when possible.
