Recently I had a BSOD while gaming, but I forgot to analyse it at that time. So after some time my scheduled maintenance software deleted minidump files while cleaning temps
For some time I supposed it either driver, hardware (either graphics or Ram) or overheating as it occurred only while gaming.


So, I had to cause BSOD myself.
I enabled Driver Verifier and worked for about 20 minutes without any problems.
Than I tried to open a gaming client garena ( http://garena.com/ ).
I tried it twice both in admin and LUA accounts. And as soon as I open it it caused BSOD.

I will try my best to help, but have to admit up front that I have never experienced a
BSOD such as this. The BC code is quite straight forward, but that is where the simplicity ends
The two drivers mentioned; one comes up with no known company as the manufacturer and the other comes up with Microsoft as the Mfg. The unknown presents problems, because I do not know where to get an update. Why not try the automatic update that is part of the OS. ie Safedrive systems
The other from MS might need an SFC scan or even a repair install. Lets talk and see what we can do togethter.

So, if I understand correctly, you are sure that it is driver fault?

You had the driver verifier running so yes that dump was the caused by a driver.
May I suggest that you play normally and when you get your next report, submit a dump report. The report that you submitted was bias, due to the driver verifier.

I would follow the steps that I presented and go with the assumption that the problem is rectified (but I doubt it) the sumbit the next dump report which would give a true picture of what occurs when the verifier is not on.

For now, I would suggest removing it and see what happens.

If the crashes persist, remove Norton with this tool: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

I recommend Microsoft Security Essentials for a free AV that will never cause crashes.

Most of the drivers were updated through laptop manufacture but some of them were produces in 2009...

For example with my graphic cards I have gone with laptop drivers which are 2009.
But I know that Intel has newer driver for that particular hardware.

So I was torn between hardware manufacturer and laptop.

I guess I should have gone with hardware one Anyway now I will try to get those.
And some drivers like card reader was from Windows Update. (Guess this was bad idea aswel)

I will try to produce real world BSOD. (Actually I hope drive updates will solve it).


I agree with you Jonathan, that it is probably cause by Garena.

But I dont think it was Norton, if I recall correctly it BSOD was resulted before its installation. (while I was running Avast with Windows firewall)

I will still consider your offer. (I was just trying out new version of Norton)
