Hey,

Was watching a vid last week when my computer suddenly crashed. Seemed odd at the time - it had never happened before - but the case was really hot and I figured it might have somehow overheated so didn't stress too much. The next day, it crashed again and I saw the BSOD for the first time. It flashed really quickly before the computer restarted, have only just managed to scan the length of the message for anything remotely helpful: It came up with BAD_POOL_HEADER which, upon searching, led me here.

I've attached the minidump file in hopes someone will be able to help me sort this out. Thanks heaps in advance,

T.

Thank you for the additional information. I assume that you have followed yowanavista's advice and uninstalled AVG? If not, I urge you to do so using this removal tool: Tool (32bit). If you have installed AVG Identity Protection, please uninstall it using this tool: Tool.

I also find some out of date device drivers loaded on your system. Older drivers can and do cause conflicts, memory corruption and BSOD's. You should update these drivers, especially the one in red font. It is really obsolete.

How to find drivers:
- I have listed links to most of the drivers in the code box above. Please use the links there to see what info I've found about those drivers.
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.

- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

If you need help with the drivers, please post and ask.
