hey everyone, really need some help here its driving me insane :mad:. to cut a long story been getting blue screens since prob october but no matter what settings i used it would not save any form of dmp file. anyways after 3 months of no progress and increasing anger at the situation i decided due to running out of hdd space i would take this opportunity to format and hopefully kill 2 birds with one stone, no such luck. all was seemingly going well with the reinstallation of everything till it decided a few times to just restart in the middle of whatever i was doing at the time, prob happened 5 times over 2 days but everytime i would be doing something different. however now it is starting to blue screen at seemingly random times. any help would be much appreciated.

Dumps indicate a hardware fault
http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Code:
BugCheck 124, {0, fffffa8007893028, f2000000, 20008f}

Probably caused by : hardware
Other dumps indicate your GPU drivers as the culprit, either the RAM/GPU is defective

(Do these steps even if you have already reinstalled the ATI drivers)

- Boot into safe mode with networking
- Uninstall the ATI drivers including Catalyst Control Center
- Use driver sweeper to remove leftover ATI display driver files Guru3D - Driver Sweeper (This step is important)
- Reboot into safe mode with networking
- Install the latest drivers. Driver
- Reboot into normal mode

Code:
BugCheck 3B, {c0000005, fffff880048e9817, fffff88009907900, 0}

Probably caused by : atikmdag.sys ( atikmdag+90817 )

thanks for the quick response.

i have carried out the steps you advised although i could not uninstall or install the drivers in safe mode due to a detection issue in the installer. but otherwise all seems ok for now, wont know whether it was as simple as that for a week or so i dare say.

in addition to that i ran windows memory diagnostic due to the possibility of a ram fault in extended mode with 3 passes and did not show any faults.

will keep you updated, thanks again.
