hello, so i got this blue screen while using the laptop a few hours after i had accidentaly stuck my finger in an ethernet port and felt a small electrical discharge. This is why i fear i may have damaged some circuit or something. This is a thinkpad x301 running windows 7 ultimate 32 bit, full retail. It is like 2 years old, this laptop, hope you can help, because i'm really worried. After rebooting the blue screen hasn't happened again anyway...:p

Nothing damaged I suspect. This one (the recent one not from feb) was caused by your Intel graphics driver

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using Guru3D - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (a)
An attempt was made to access a pageable (or completely invalid) address at an
interrupt request level (IRQL) that is too high. This is usually
caused by drivers using improper addresses.
If a kernel debugger is available get the stack backtrace.
Arguments:
Arg1: cccccccc, memory referenced
Arg2: 00000002, IRQL
Arg3: 00000001, bitfield :
    bit 0 : value 0 = read operation, 1 = write operation
bit 3 : value 0 = not an execute operation, 1 = execute operation (only on chips which support this level of status)
Arg4: 82c87a23, address which referenced memory

Plus you have some really Old drivers that need updating

How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Hello mcfly, I occasionally get the exact same BugCheck A, {cccccccc, ...} as you. Even the stack trace is the same! I have the same OS and similar hardware (Intel GL40 video instead of the GM45 Express in your Thinkpad X301). I have all the latest service packs and fixes for Win7.

Were you able to resolve the problem? If so, what was the solution?

Interesting, so I can't even ask if his problem was resolved? I think it's a fair question and could potentially benefit many people who stumble on this forum like I did.

Your post was fine, and you are right that it would be beneficial if the OP responded whether the problem is solved or there is still more help needed. I was just suggesting starting another thread as well because you are not likely to get a response in this one. My suggestion was meant to help you and anyone else who might be experiencing your crashes so that you may mark the thread solved when you solve your crashes.
