Having BSOD here. Mostly while playing World of Warcraft. Also happened while watching Netflix, while running the Windows_NT6_BSOD program, and at other times. I reinstalled Windows a few days ago.

Info in attachment.

Hello,

Were the BSODs going on before you reinstalled Windows?

Start on some hardware diagnostics:

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.html

Run all three Prime95 tests: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100352-cpu-stress-test-prime95.html

Were the BSODs going on before you reinstalled Windows?

Yeah, but I also had some viruses and corruptions, so I can't really say if they were related or not. I'll post back with testing results later.

I've had a number of BSOD since last posting.
I ran Memtest for 8 hours without errors.
With Prime95 I ran the small FFTs test for 6 hours, no errors.
With Prime95 I ran the large FFTs test--with round off checking option on--and received a rounding error after 44 minutes.
Haven't run the third Prime95 test yet.
I've attached the results of the NT6 program.

EDIT:
---------------------------------------------------
After the above results I checked my BIOS. Upon entering it immediately gave me a message stating that my computer had experienced errors due to overclocking. I had made a slight adjustment to the RAM frequencies about a year ago, due to some BSOD I was having then (which I actually posted about on here). Those issues were eventually resolved in a different way, but I never adjusted the RAM setting back.

So, I just loaded the optimized defaults for my BIOS. We'll see if that helps.

The DirectX kernel is again blamed; a sign of hardware trouble usually. Overclocking may have been the cause of this instability; we shall see. Run the Blend Prime95 test when you can; also, run the Large FFTs again, this time with round off checking OFF.

You may especially try a different video card; see if that has any effect.

Still crashing, even with defaults on motherboard. Ran the Prime95 blend test, with rounding off. Both workers failed within 2 hours. I've attached the dump files.

Try running the Prime95 tests again. Run them all, see if we can get a feel for what component is causing the issue.

I borrowed a friend's video card for about a week. I still got blue screens and random crashes, although it wasn't DX that was crashing. Today I tested all the lines on my PSU with a multimeter--everything was within a tolerable range. I am beginning to suspect the motherboard, but I hate to replace it without a more definite confirmation. Right now I am running scandisk on my two disks. I doubt this has anything to do with it, but I wanted to check everything I could. Any more ideas?

Try removing all but one stick of RAM, and run off of that for a while. See if stability improves any. Also, run the Prime95 Blend test again, and report the results.

I pulled one stick of RAM. I played a video game for several hours without a BSOD. I then ran the Prime 95 tests for several hours on each without a single error. I was looking around at RAM prices when I noticed that my RAM configuration is known to cause problems without the F12 Bios update for the motherboard. I checked, and sure enough I wasn't up to date. I have just flashed the BIOS to F12. I am going to put the stick of RAM back in and do some testing to see if this was the issue.

I have been effectively trying to fix this computer for a year. It feels nice to be getting some useful data for once. This F12 Bios was not in existence when I put this machine together, however. I'll report back after testing.
