Hello, first time poster, so I'll just spit it all out. I've previously had a problem with Windows 7, scanned w/no harddrive problems, reformatted, and it seemed to be fine, then sudden shut down problems a recent nvidia service pack seemed to fix, and it's been fine until today.

Two BSODs with an interval of about 1.5 hours. The first time, was running normally crashed during MPC (indication: minor video+sound lag, screen flicker). The second, running normally after restart crashed with no indication. Running in safe mode w/networking, about 50 minutes after the second BSOD, with no visible problems (opened each program and seems to function well) - except sound's not working, but I'm not sure if that's due to safe mode or not.

I've attached the two dump files. I hope someone can help. =) Three am and kind of desperate.

these were both caused by netr28ux.sys, which is your LAN wireless driver. I would download and install a fresh copy.

Both dump files are practically identical and both mention the above driver as the culprit

You should be able to find an update here: Ralink Corp Driver Downloads.

Make sure you pick the right device (the driver appears to be related to an USB networking device)

Thanks for the fast replies!

More info: I have a Trendnet wireless usb adapter - TEW-644UB, Linksys N router - WRT160N. It might be my usb... the packaging only says compatibility up to windows vista, but windows 7 is supposedly compatible with it...

I'll download the first link and take a look, thank you!

EDIT. So I installed the link, found trendnet's site has a download section with a manual for windows 7 installation, followed those directions, installed utilitydriver_tew-664ub (drivers Version B1.xR), and the process simply verified that Ralink was properly installed and updated. Hopefully this'll get rid of any problems. =D Thank you!
