My system is totally new with WIN7 Home Premium 32bit ordered from Microsoft. Either at the Welcome Screen or just after my profile appears, a BSOD appears and the OS goes into repair mode. This can take thirty to sixty minutes, with every type of repair being initiated by Windows. Eventually, after multiple shut-downs and starts, the computer starts and operates normally. The problem returns after shut down, or when attempting a Restart. Coming out of Sleep Mode (S3), the screen appears momentarily and then goes blank, while the hard drive stops functioning. A hard shut-down is needed, resulting in the above mentioned start-up problem.

The RealTek driver was never installed. I am using an AP card. However, I downloaded and installed drivers for the LAN, Audio, and Video from the Gigabyte Web Site. It seems to be working for now. I am withholding judgment as to it being repaired. I will keep you appraised of the situation.

I allowed the computer to enter Sleep Mode. This afternoon, I awoke the computer. Everything came on, my profile screen came up, and then went blank. The HDD stopped working and the computer refused to restart. I had to force a shutdown, which resulted in a Code 41 setting. Something is desperately wrong when a computer will not come out of sleep or restart properly!!!

Where do we go from here???
