I have been getting BSOD's with the USB_BUG_CODE error. It used to be once every few months but it seems to be getting more frequent. I have attached the zip file with the information compiled by the diagnostic tool.

I've made sure that Avast is updated to the latest version and I will see if that helps. I will go through USB trouble shooter and see if that brings up anything. Thanks for your help.

Let us know the results.

But anytime you may shift to Microsoft Security Essentials with windows firewall. Its totally free, and sometimes claimed to be better than Avast .

I went into the advanced power settings and the USB suspend was enabled for while on battery and disabled while plugged in. I switched them both to enabled as it seems that I only get the BSOD's while plugged in.

Correct me if i am wrong but if I get another BSOD I can just post the mini dump file here and you would be able to see whether it was Avast or the USB drivers that caused it??

Now, it is EHCI eUSB Miniport Driver , usbehci.sys .

Do you have anything plugged in the USB post ? If so , unplug it . And then see if further BSODs occur. May be it is a bad port, or a bad device attached there .
