BSOD: IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL - Bug Check 0x0000000a

Hi all,

I am hoping that someone can shed some light on my recent BSOD problems.

A couple of weeks ago I did a clean install of Windows 7 (previously had Windows XP). Over the past week I have received several BSOD’s (see attached dumps).

The two most recent BSOD’s happened when I was playing games on Steam - I need help solving these two BSOD's:
Bug check 0x0000000a and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL.

The previous dumps occurred during web browsing. I resolved the BSOD's below updating the applicable drivers as indicated in the minidump file.
Bug Check 0x000000c4 and DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
Bug Check 0x000000c9 and DRIVER_VERIFIER_IOMANAGER_VIOLATION
Bug Check 0x000000c4 and DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
Bug Check 0x000000c4and DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION
Bug Check 0x00000050 and PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

Before posting on this forum I checked possible solutions posted by other members – things I have done to date are:
I have run Memtest86 for 8 passes on both my 4gb memory sticks (individual tests) – no issues found
I only use Microsoft Security Essentials (no other anti-virus installed) and regularly run Malware Bytes – no issues found
All Windows Updates are current
System is not overclocked.
I have run the Drive Error Checking tool – no issues found

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

All - I have solved this issue. I guess I am learning as I go but having enabled Driver Verifier it forced the system to crash and allowed me to pinpoint the fault drivers - as per the 4 driver verifier BSOD's above. I have updated / removed the affected drivers and this appears to have solved the problem. As for the recent 2 BSOD's I am fairly sure they were related to Driver Verifier being enabled - I have disabled the verifier and touch wood my system is running great. I will mark this post as solved and raise a new thread if I get any more issues.

I am glad I found this forum - there are some great tips / posts.
