I bought this computer at the end of last year, and put the components together myself. I installed windows 7 64bit, and I have had troubles ever since. First was a bad set of RAM, that I had to RMA. Also, the 770-C45 Motherboard has a power saving feature that shuts down the computer whenever it activates. I've since turned that off, and have gotten the system up and running, but I am still getting many BSODs, and lots of IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. I can't figure out if this is a hardware problem, or software. I have yet to get this computer to work, and I have had it for over a month now.

Here are the specs for the computer.
AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb
MSI 770-C45
ATI Radeon HD 4850
4 GB of RAM
Western Digital 500 GB
Windows 7 64bit

Ran memtest last night, and it passed after 6 passes with no errors. I had to up the voltage to the RAM last time I installed to get it completely stable. Now it appears to be completely stable.

I attached the minidump to see if you guys could help me diagnose this problem. Thanks in advance.

My power supply is a Raidmax 730watt.

I went to disable ATI External Event Utility, but it wasn't in my services list. However, my computer has been running fine for about 30 minutes now, which is considerably longer than it usually does. Thanks for the help so far. I will keep using it and update if anything goes wrong.

ATI External Event Utility

ATI External Event Utility has been the cause of some BSOD's also that RAIDMAX PSU may not be delivering enough amps on the +12 volt rail I think that is a dual rail system with about 24 amps on the +12 volt rail you need to get that to about 40 with a big video card and quad core CPU

Is there any way to verify whether or not my psu is giving enough juice to the rails? I don't want to buy a new power supply, but if this is the cause of my errors, I definitely want to upgrade. Thanks,

Well, my computer ran fine for about a day, and earlier today, everytime I tried to open an application, it would give me an error. Rebooted and everything was working again. Opened Outlook and computer crashed. Here is a new minidump file. Is it the same problem still? Thanks,

Skye

Try this

try this open msconfig and go to boot tab click on advanced and under number of processors check the box and set it to 4 and then check the box for max memory and set it to 4096 and reboot

Thanks. I just ran into another problem. Everytime I open any application, I receive the errors shown below. I shut down, and reboot, and now things seem to work again. Although internet explore constantly has to close and restore windows. I will do what you said and change the msconfig boot setting and reboot, and see how things work.

My computer ran fine for a day, and today, it booted up to a black screen, and did nothing for 30 minutes, so I reset it. It ran startup repair, and restored to an earlier point in time. I went back into msconfig, and the boot settings were still set to 4 cores, but max memory was set to 0? I changed it to 4096, which is how much ram I have and restarted. I just checked it, and it has changed to 256? Why is it doing this, and is this an issue? Thanks.

Before I changed it last time, the original setup was 4 cores, and max memory was unchecked with 2048.

Was gone all day, came back and tried to start my computer. No go. Just went to system repair. Then it says startup repair failed, because startupRepairOffline, and there is a corrupt registry. I shut down, removed 2gigs, and tried it again. Same problem. I am wondering if this is a hardware issue. The computer worked fine last night. I wasn't even home today, came back and it doesn't work.

Looked up the details,
"Bugcheck 74. Parameters = 0x2.....
Registry is corrupt."

Then I did system restore, which completely successfully. Booted up, and registry is corrupt again.

I don't really know what to do from here. Motherboard? RAM? Processor? Power supply?

The computer is brand new, so I have trouble seeing why I should have any driver issues with the hardware. I guess I will give 32bit a shot, and see if it works. Thanks for all your time, computersplus.
