Solved BSODs. Lots of them.

Feels a bit too complicated for me.
In my latest crash i tried a game on lowest graphics settings and the graphics card fan didnt' even need to cool it down and stayed on 60%, still crashed.
In my opinion there must be something else triggering the crashes, at least not the graphics card alone.
So frustrating to be stuck with it!

So, I decided to reinstall Windows but the errors are still there.
I was then recommended to try out Prime95 and it found an error right away.

It looks like following:
[18:10] Test 1, 7800 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M9961473 using AMD K8 type-2 FFT length 512K, Pass1=512, Pass2=1K.
[18:12] FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
[18:12] Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
[18:12] Torture Test completed 0 tests in 1 minutes - 1 errors, 0 warnings.

I'd really appreciate some help in interpreting this as I don't want to screw up in BIOS and stuff.

It's not a log file what i can see.
And the results file didn't give any further info...

Well I think rounding would be pointing to ram or cpu issue.
If it's a ram issue it's easy to test, just let this run overnight.

Rounding errors are something you generally see when overclocking.
I'm wondering if your ram is set spd or not.

How do I know this? Haven't heard the term spd before. :huh:

I have not overclocked anything that I know about, should be default settings on everything.
All 4 of the RAM sticks and all the MoBo RAM slots have finished 10 passes in Memtest, one at a time.

oh that would be it's default factory timings.

So, everything under Memory management was set to auto. I also just found out that my RAM pairs have slightly different timings but that have never bothered me before in the 2 years I've used them together.

First pair have the timing 5-5-5-12.
Second pair have timing 5-5-5-18.

I tried both 12 and 18 with Prime95 but it didn't work out but something changed slightly with 12 that I tried first

Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file."

Also found 2 more things in my BIOS by the other 4 timings that wasn't in the FAQ:
ROW to ROW Delay (TRRD)
ROW Cycle Time (TRC)

Left those on auto for now.
What should I do with the TRAS? Do I have to remove one of the pairs for it to work properly? I already tried with the "18 pair" on 18 but that didn't work either...
Please advice!

None of them had any errors with Memtest86+.

First BSOD after my new windows installation, maybe the logs will tell us something new...

Bought a new MoBo, CPU and RAM, and the issues went away.
