Problem not present on 7229 x86 either :p

It could be a GFX driver issue, what card do you have?

Sounds a lot like your monitor may not be calibrated right.

My bad if this is not a build issue. I am using 7229 x64 on a HP Pavilion DV5 Entertainment Notebook PC. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450, ATI graphics driver 9.5.

The icons backgrounds are fine until i hover the mouse over, then it turns pink. It is not all the icons, but only three of them does this.

Could you post a screenshot? If it's only 3 files it could be the file type.

Sure. Attatching a screenshot.
As you can see only; delete, copy and print are affected.

It is not very noticable. Have a look around the red X and you'll see a vague pink color where it should be all grey.

I have noticed a very (very) slight tint but i think it's supposed to be there. I could be wrong though :p

I see it - is it the little crawling ants coming out of the tiny tunnel next to the X.

(sorry but even after enlarging the image and examining it minutely I don't see anything)

It's really not that hard to see at my monitor. Even in photoshop there is a clear difference in colorcode from the grey its supposed to be. May be more noticable at my monitor though.
