Trying to install 7022 is doing my head in. I need to do as an upgrade from 7000 but it always fails right at the end with a BSOD. I have tried everything from removing graphics card to removing all add-on hardware. Just won't have it. About to try again for the 9th time. lol

Use f8 during boot to keep minimum screen resolution through install. The bsod is happening when it tries to change screen resolution, right? This happened to me also. Tried installing twice before I got it to work on my xps 420.

I'm calling BS on this, I'm on news groups & cannot find a 64 bit build 7022 anywhere, if you have a link that works then I might believe but as I can see it I see no 64 bit 7022 leak.

not to mention that the 64bit 7000 build is exactly 3.15gig also. i dont believe it either. if it is out there it isnt torrented yet.

call me crazy, but why would u say there is one, on a windows 7 website, and not link it o.0 ?

Yes I agree, we don't want to break the rules but a better hint on how to find it would be nice.

Find out the string number, google it, look for a file with positive feedback. Simple.

There is STILL NO freaking x64 release,I've just searched every torrent site known to me,with various tags in search line,but neither one isn't true 7022 x64 release.

Just wondering guys, but is it worth it to download? I'm on a 1.5 download speed here in Australia. Also, can it be 'upgraded' from 7000?

I haven't bothered. The RC will be out in a month or 2.

it is worth the download, some seem to feel it is faster than the 7000 build, on two laps, two desktop units i can't say i see much difference speed wise. upgrading for me from the 7000 build (works in theory) didn't go so well for me, causing issues with some modules including installation of some third party softwares. I blew it away, reformatted the partition and loaded cleanly, runs a charm.

Yeah... Thanks for the replies Romulinx2 and ittech. I think I might go with Romulinx2's advice, since it takes quite a while to download 2.4GB. Also, I LOVE 7000, so I am happy to wait

It depends how inpatient you are to have a few bug fixes i guess..

The fact that the gadgets now work with uac off and generally always wanting the newest build swung it for me.

I have seen people say the upgrade from 700 works ok but i personally would never use the upgrade option ever, not on any system. I feel a lot better with a fresh install and have enough external disc space not to worry about my music/videos/apps.

Using your PC with UAC OFF is a security risk. I would not advise it!
